It's simple. As much as that would be the best, and most difficult fight for Oscar after he beats Mayorga, it's not the most lucrative. The biggest money making fight, at any weight right now, would be a Delahoya-Trinidad rematch. And thats why Oscar and PBF will never dance. There's greater money and lesser risk v. Tito than PBF.

PBF vs De la hoya would be bigger at the this point (assuming De la Hoya beats Mayorga... which he will). That's my take. Everyone wants to see Mayweather lose.

Too bad Oscar can't beat him. Oscar says he wants to fight the best, but he knows he'll lose to Floyd. I think the only way Oscar fights Floyd is if he can sign him {promoter} for a long contract. Oscar isn't dumb, and won't take a loss without gaining something in return.

And for the record, I don't want to see Floyd lose, just all the haters do. Floyd forever!

I don't think it'll happen because mayorga will retire him IMO. If ODLH wins then I can't see how he won't take the fight, simply because of the $ it'll generate. Its not like he has no chance, naturally now oscar is a borderline natural 147/154 he lies somewhere inbetween. Thats a small tick in the ODLH box. It all depends on his performance against ricardo. It's hard to envisage him being little more than a shadow of his former self.

Dont you guys get it? Yes, PBF is a much better boxer than Felix Trinidad. We all know that. But Delahoya-Trinidad 2 would do twice the PPV buys Delahoya-PBF would do. PBF is still not that popular. Felix Trinidad, retired or not, is still one of the most popular fighters in boxing.

Why can't you people just leave Trinidad the fuck alone? He's doesn't owe boxing anything, anymore. He's done enough and should be allowed to enjoy his retirement. Trinidad took a good amount of punishment in his career. Why should he have to take more?

I think Kostya was interested to see if anyone could take his title as unddisputed dancing boxer champion of the world.

De la hoya is smart and knows if he fights pbf he will be a huge underdog, it's the most lucrative but if ODLH loses his legacy will be severly damaged. i think his next fight should be against possibly Arturo gatti, i knowit wouldnt be the best too watch but gatti and ODLH have good chances to win and gatti has a huge following and Oscar is the biggest bar in boxing.

This all depends if he beats Mayorga which isnt a fore gone conclusion

I doubt it to be honest. After his whitewash at the hands of Winky Wright I'd say Tito is about a big a box office draw as Roy Jones or Bernard Hopkins.

Personally I wouldn't care to see a rematch of DLH Trinidad at all. It was another whitewash until Oscar decided to go on the run. I seriously doubt that HBO would even be interested in such a fight now.

now IF Oscar looks specatcular against Mayorga and Trinidad looked speactacular in an interim fight then I'd agree it would be a big fight, but right now it would be as popular as the Roy Jones Bernard Hopkins rematch that was planned then scrapped a few months ago.

I really dont wanna see Oscar-Tito 2, either. But I dont see how anyone actually thinks a IOscar-PBF fight would be more lucrative. Yes, it would be the better fight, but as far as money goes, the biggest fight he can have to make the most would be a Trinidad rematch. PBF still doesnt do seelouts when he's fighting. He's a much greater fighter than Tito, but Tito's a much bigger draw.

Even though Oscar has diminished...people still shell out all that cash to see him.

That's something that Tito hasn't been able to do of late because of his outtings against Wright & Hopkins.

trinidads value has diminished, no doubt about that...

    wright schooled him beyond doubt....

there is no real clamour to see trinidad: DLH 2...

DLH: PBF does have a market though
