WOW i thought he did fine showed a great chin fast hands considering cotto had the reach advantage he beat him to the punch most of the fight...

wasnt scared to mix it with a puncher

Cotto rightfully won but it was a close one

this was a easy safe fight for Cotto on paper against a non puncher... but boy did he make hard work of it and came very close to a loss.

Great fight all the same loved it... both fighters deserve credit for a very good fight IMO

I agree with the Tarver thing...and find it a bit oncalled for with Paulie....He stood in there and fought a middleweight....gotta give him props for that....this will be Cotto's last fight at 140... should have never fought at 140 to begin with...there is a reason why they moved back the weigh in 4 hours....
It feels good to be back home.

Oh it is a very glorious day folks! Bernard did it! He wiped the floor with Tarver, droppin him and dominating his ass the whole way. And while I did not see the Cotto fight, I am glad to hear he broke Malinaggi's nose and jaw. Both the Magic Men have been vanquished. Viva Hopkins and Cotto!

Sal, when it comes to Malignaggi I WILL STRONGLY DISAGREE!!

Malignaggi proved you wrong last night. You said that he was soft and would be knocked out easily.

But when he got knocked down and had that jaw and the fracture to his face FROM THE 2ND ROUND ON!!! and he fought on and won rounds from Cotto and made the fight difficult. And he only lost the fight 7 rounds to 5 which means if 2 of the close rounds went to Malignaggi(just like those close rounds could have went to Judah ) Then Malignaggi is the champ.

SO quit with the haterade, its really starting to get annoying.

I respect Malignaggi SOOOOO much after last night. And how you can still hate on him is beyong me WAY beyond me.

I have it 8-4 and there was only one close round that went to Cotto. The other close round went to Malignaggi. It was retty cut and dry victory for Cotto imo. I really don't get where you Paulie lovers are saying that he won the fight. Seriously it was so far apart that to contest it would be ridiculous to think Malignaggi had a chance of winning or drawing going into the final round. Cotto outboxed a boxer and tore him apart yet all I'm hearing from you Starr is how Malignaggi could have won and how he would win a rematch. If you want to talk about giving credit...start with yourself.

Cotto won and Malignaggi put in a valiant effort. I wouldn't mind him sticking around now but I really think he is just a Lovermore N'dou type fighter who could give anyone a fairly competitive fight but I think he is to 1 dimensional to be a serious title contender.

Very funny! I must admit i have never heard of this guy,( im not even going to try spell his name), BUT he should get credit and alot of respect for fighting with broken nose and jaw for nearly the whole fight. I still dont believe Cotto is at the level to challenge Hatton, Floyd etc...

Any person who steps inside the ring for a bout deserves respect. WIN or LOSE. BUT for a guy to keep fighting with a broken Nose and Jaw, i dont care who he is, HE HAS MY RESPECT! And HE IS A TOUGH prick.

OMG i gotta see tarver comments, hopkins went up 15 pounds and still won 9 rounds lmfao!!! and KO him too!!!! lolololol.

Malignaggi, I felt bad for him, he made a good effort and stood and fought Cotto, props for that. The sad part was he seemed like he was almost gonna cry =\

"Aw man I just wanted to win real bad" *looks down holds in tears*

Tarver- GOOD FAGGOT, NO ONE LIKES YOU.

Yea but I like that Malignaggi didn't make up no excuses. like tarver "hinted" Malignaggi IS a Magic Man and he will be back, usually fighters that experience that kind of stuff fold up in a shell and quit(I E TARVER) but Malignaggi showed he was more then just a mouth, he went into that fight to win and actually tried to back up his talk, and when things got rough he didn't quit like most others.. he really tried.. and he got soo much respect from me through losing.
