Shavers might have hit hard as hell but he couldn't TAKE it like Rocky could, Rocky KO 5

Rocky was an awesome champ, but there is a HUGE difference in the size of fighters from the early 50's until the late 70's.
Shavers would have bombed everyone in the early-mid 50's.
However it's a moot point fighters like Shavers wouldn't have existed if it wasn't for the 20+ years of development and upheaval in the sport that occurred in boxing between the periods.

Shavers was'nt too much bigger than Marciano, plus Marciano had stamina like nobody else, not to mention a great chin, Shavers almost got K.O'd by Ellis, and Quarry got Shavers in the 1st rd, Marciano in 4-5 rds wit big K.O. You get a SC for that
