Will Karmazin get a fair fight tonight?

He is fighting in his American opponent’s backyard with the audience, judges, the ref, the TV-network and commentators against him. Even the size of the ring has been made to suite Spinks. A large 24 foot ring that allows Spinks to run all night.

I doubt he will get a fair fight. It could easily be another DLH v Sturm/Foreman v Schulz decision. Karmazin better knocks Spinks out if he wants a win.

i think he will have to win convincly because if the fight is close normally the close rounds go to hometown fighter.

Im a little wary about any decision concerning fights of this nature....Im hopeful that Roman will be able to stop Spinks. Or if not at least win enough rounds convincingly. Spinks will start the quicker, its up to Karmazin not to allow him to build up much of a lead on the cards early on...

Thankyou for the early morning laugh. It is 8:45 am in the states and I needed a wake up call so thankyou. I can't lie Spinks is a runner and he will probably run tonight but the 24 foot ring won't have anything to do with it, it could be a 8 foot ring and he would still find a way to run. But I don't know what would make you think he would get a gift decision, Cory Spinks has no star power, he is not very popular, he is not a premier fighter, and his future is not that bright. I don't see him getting a gift decision, if he wins he will have earned it.

Since I have fighters that fight in St. Louis all the time and the fact that I know almost all of the officials and how they are when it comes to judging...

Karmazin had best get a KO....

If that answers anything for you....

    Good Luck,

    Coach

I picked Spinkie to win, but would glady watch his head bounce of the canvas.

This boxing contest is a bit like fantasy football in the way that your brain winds up rooting against your heart.  It can tear a man apart inside...

By the way, I would like to participate in a fantasy football leauge. If any of you are in one let me know if there is room for Boxing Gorilla.

Spinks ensured that the first 6 rounds that the only way he wasn't getting the title was if he lost the next 6 rounds, and he won one or so of them so he won the title, and he shut out Karmazin 6 rounds to 0 and nobody credits Cory for it and some are saying Karmazin actually won

Well, I felt Karmazin did enough to keep the title, whether it was a draw or win...

I felt Cory did the same thing Winky did here recently with JT...

My Wife doesnt even know much about Boxing and she noticed that much about the fight....

I will only give Cory credit for being able to actually survive a good 12 round battle, even with all of the running he did....

    Good Luck,

    Coach

And I greatly respect your opinion. I still do think Spinks won the fight though. And in my opinion as far as Jermain Taylor goes he didn't do enough to keep his title from Wright.
