Thread: Shane Mosley is Great.

He floored Fernando Vargas.

Yeah he did, didn't look like Vargas came to win though. He changed nothing from the first fight. Mosley looked good winin every round and KO'n Vargas. He needs to man up and fight Floyd Maywhether now, not later, but now. He's only gettin older.

I don't know,I have yet to see the fight but it sounded like Vargas was doing absolutely nothing,maybe waiting until after round 6 to start??

Nice idea but Felix Sturm didn't win.

In the first two rounds Shane looked uncomfortable . I could see his speed had improved from recent form but he was initiating clinches and I thought it may turn out to be another frustrating night . But in the 3rd he came out like a different man . Credit to his father cuz they devised a strategy which worked perfectly. I was very surprised to see Mosley floor Vargas so heavily especially so early in the fight cuz ive never rated his power at 154 but as his confidence grew the combos started flowing and the gulf in class was massive .

Massive respect to Shane for that win . Sensational . Vargas to me looked bigger and more dangerous against Oscar and Tito .I dont know if it was the weight making but even Shane said he wasnt as strong as he was in the 1st fight . Im sure we'l find out but Shane did a better job than Tito and Oscar and deserves full respect .

I was saying the same all along, Shane is not an old Shot fighter he has fought the best Competion and in the past 3 years has only fought the best possible he is a Hall of Famer PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!

People are always saying how come great fighters dont always fight the best talent well Shane has been doing that for most of his career NEVER ducked anyone, SO what Forrest beat Shane he had his number..Whats Forrest doing now Fighting a Career saving fight his destiny is dependent on what he does against IKE QUARTEY who WAS great but has clearly seen his best days..

How does beating Vargas again suddenly make Mosley great? Sure he looked good & ended it brillantly... but the question here is how far gone was Vargas. This was not the Vargas who went to war with Trinidad or even DLH. Sure Mosley will make the Hall of Fame, but its not like he beat a pound for pound guy. Lets just look at this fight as it really is, a good win over a solid veteran. Now if Mosley steps up & face Mayweather & wins now that would make him an all time great!!!
