According to a report by Dan Rafael of ESPN.com, Hasim Rahman vs Oleg Maskaev did poorly. The Heavyweight bout generated a live gate of of about $1.7 million.
The PPV numbers were very good either. Only about 60,000 pay-per-view subscriptions were sold for the event.
Rafael reports that Promoter Bob Arum probably lost more than $1 million on the fight and the fight did so poorly that
HBO won't be making any public announcement.
The event cost close to $50 and those who bought it withnessed Hasim Rahman lose by 12 round TKO to Oleg Maskaev.
