eh, not without healthrisks, no....So i won't give them.

The only advise i can give you is to next time, monitor your weight sooner. But that isn't helping you now....

im guessing this is an amatuer bout, you are allowed a 3kg difference between you and your opponant which i think is about 6lb so you should be alright unless your opponant weighs in light

Depends on your country. Here in holland, we have weightcategories. My first bout will be in the 80-85kg. I'll 80kg, my opponent will be 84kg (so +4) and that's ok, as long as you are in the same category.

oh right in the uk it is possible to be in two different weight catagories and still fight if there is no more than a 3kg difference

You can here as well, but then the fighter in the lower weightclass is always the winner, exept if the heavier fighter wins bij knock out, but then still the lighter fighter gets an honourable notice in the books.

    (twisted but true)

They figure that you have an advandage with more weight (which usually is offcourse) but for example:
I weight 79kg, so in category 75-80 and my opponent is 81kg (so in 80-85) Just 2kg difference, As long as i can stay on my feet i win.
I weight 81kg, she ways 83kg (so both in 80-85, and also just 2kg difference) the boxer with the most points wins.

I've seen it happen on the dutch championships. A friend of my gym weighted just 1 kg to heavy, she was with distance the better boxer and her opponent was almost crying (no joke!) but she lost the bout, and the crying opponent, who was lucky to make maybe a few points, got the win and the dutch championship. Here it's called a performance-match.

That's why i'm working my hardest to get to the 75 kg max, where the opponents are (in lady-heavyweight there is besides me just one other opponent (80-85kg)

We get 3 by official USA boxings new rules...Coach can agree to a bigger difference but it is then a match bout and not official

It's the amatuers there are a lot more weight classes than pro's...Plus they are mostly kids so they want things even as possible...There are many new rules in USA Amatuer Boxing since 05'..EG no tape between the knuckles....Changes in mouth pieces...We have to go to what is called boxing clinics every time there are rule changes....We have to review new rules and take test on them....It's not easy as many would think being an amatuer coach.....Then again unlike Pro's who can make decisions for themselves whether or not they agree with something...The kids have to go by what we say..They don't know but what we teach them and the USA Amatuer commission wants to make sure we aren't careless....Something I agree with totaly...You would be suprised on how many gyms I have been to that wanna be coachs and trainers know almost nothing or teach bad habits
