Thread: khan top of the bill

why was khan the top of the bill last night i wasn't even botherd about seeing his fight all his fights have been shit so far i thought woods johnson would of been the main fight but just be4 the news came on it said don't forget top of the bill khan is on after the news

Khan was fighting in his home town so...

I would personally say it was the main support with Balbi and the Frenchman

But I suspect it was billed as a joint main event, for promotional purposes.

they dont show hardly any of the fights.all they show is the headliner and then khan (which is a waste of time IMO because we all know its gonna be a blink and miss it)

The actual main event was Woods/Johnson. Khan went on last because a) it was Bolton, his home town, and beleive me as I was there, he's super popular there, and b) The promoters obviously realised there was a good chance Johnson would beat Woods, and that Khan would certainly win, so to send the crowd home happy, they put him on last.

No i think they now put khan on last because his fans were watching his fight then going home before the main event.

i think also itv dont want people just watching khan fight then turning it off

yeah i thought how the hell can a non title 6 rounder with 2 unproven fighters be top bill over a world title fight

bad move as people will start saying this amir khan hype is getting to much....i've already started going off the kid
