Thread: Miranda Vows To Make Abraham Pay

A little over a week away from the biggest fight of his career, Edison ‘Pantera’ Miranda is growing impatient with his desire to strap the IBF World Middleweight Championship belt around his waist – something he is sure will happen when he faces Arthur Abraham on September 23rd at Rittal Arena in Wetzlar, Germany.

“I am a boxer that goes to school in the gym and improves on my skills each day,” said Miranda. “I have improved considerably since the (Howard) Eastman fight, and during the last month I have improved even more. This extra time has made me an even more dangerous fighter. I guarantee you that when he’s getting hit by my rocks he is going to wish that he never cancelled the first fight. My prediction the first time around was a knockout – now I will destroy him!”

Miranda was originally scheduled to face Abraham on August 26th, but a cold prompted Abraham to prolong the inevitable by postponing the fight. Bad move, as the delay has only made ‘Pantera’ more focused on annihilating the champion.

“I hope the medications Abraham keeps referring to have helped his cold and will let him step into the ring like a man,” said Miranda, who will be leaving his training camp in Puerto Rico to head to Germany this week. “He doesn’t sound too confident, and he has already admitted he is not as strong as me. Maybe he thinks these medications will make him stronger. He will need all the help he can get in order to survive. For the record, if I catch a cold or even the flu, I am going in that ring and knocking him out. I will be the champion of the world on September 23rd.”

Miranda KO before round 8

This is a pick em for me...based only on Miranda Eastman.

Eastman, IWO, is one of the most skilled ring savy middles out there...that always drops the ball in the middle of the ring.

Curious to see if Miranda can get off on his punching abilities alone...because I think that Abraham is the superior boxer...the question is...can he be the superior fighter?

Arthur Abraham by KO, Miranda is a good kid, but I can't see him winning this one...

I was pretty neutral,when it comes to Miranda,but it seems he is unable to
shut up ..., all the trashtalking comes from Miranda,whereas Abraham seems
pretty quiet and calm...Wacko posted some nice interview of Abraham some
time ago,in which Abraham didn't seem scared or even nervous...
I really hope Abraham knocks Miranda out for good,but even if Miranda wins,
don't expect me to become one of his admirers...

Why does the confidence bother you so much? He is a funny guy, kinda trash talks like Ali.
Maybe it comes across to harsh when it is interpreted and than written and not heard.
I have seen 2 of his press conferences live and every latin speaking person was very amused by his personalty, laughing often.
He really is a good guy from what I have experienced. I don't like the bullshit that some of these guys talk, but he's different.

Can't decide...Miranda maybe the stronger man,but Abraham is more skilled...
Both can punch doesn't matter that Miranda is stronger,if Eastman can wobble
Miranda,so can Abraham...
But I have to wonder about Abraham punching-power,rewatch his last fight
against Kofi Jantuah and even if Abraham looked tired after the 4th rnd,he still
hit Kofi with some pretty solid shots,but didn't floor him...or maybe Jantuah has
a great chin...I don't know...
