Steven Bash, manager of two top-ranked Russian contenders Roman Karmazin and Dmitry Kirillov, confirmed to “Ves’ Sport” media agency that former IBF junior middleweight titleholder Karmazin (WBO #7) would return to the squared ring on November, 4th, to face another ex-champion in Daniel Santos (WBO #4) by way of Puerto Rico in a WBO eliminator for a possible challenge against reigning champion Sergey Dzindziruk of the Ukraine. The latter is to defend his belt against TBA this October, however, according to some rumors, Wayne Alexander of UK is a likely opponent. "The eliminator between Roman (34-2-1, 21 KOs) and Daniel (30-3-1, 21 KOs) will be put on the undercard of the huge show with the WBO heavyweight rumble between Sergey Liakhovich and Shannon Briggs as a headliner and Cory Spinks vs. Rodney Jones IBF 154 lbs. clash as a co-header," said Bash to 'Ves’ Sport.' "The winner of a fight will probably be an obligatory challenger for Dzindziruk. I can definitely say that the bout is a go, as Don King gave his sanctions for it. This show can hit Los Angeles or Phoenix. The evening will probably be televised by Showtime."
