Default BOB/ BOB XL or other standing bags

Anyone have or have used one of these standing bags enough to give a little review of it? Moved into a new apartment about a month ago and miss having my heavy bag around but there's no place to hang it here.

So Im looking to find a good standing bag that can take a lot of abuse! I came across these and they look pretty good, I like that it has the head for practicing uppercuts, but was wondering before I drop the $300-$350 if anyone has any experience and are they durable, etc.

    Thanks!

IMO, save your money. I don't think they can withstand heavy punching.. ie, they'll teder over.

    It's DEFO not worth $300.

You know what, go pick up a 40-50lb bag and hang it from your ceiling. Just use tapcons to achor it into a concrete block. And keep you blinds closed!!! It should be perfectly fine with plenty of hanging strength. For $300 you could buy a great bag and a wicked hammer drill and have plenty of cash left over.

Or get a bag and stand.

    ^^^^

i agree they thing would have problems with falling over. and also it looks kinda funny liek von said you could get a good bag for taht amount of money. because it's an apartment you can not hack into the roof? am i right well i'd proberbly go for a heavy bag stand as it isn't damaging anything and it can be packed away if you don't want it. if anything i've said is wrong correct me

Nah, guys it weighhs up to 300 lbs and wont tear or anything. It's made of polyeurothane (?) or something like that. Whatever that is, it's supposed to be tough. Am looking to see if anyone has one that can tell me about it. I appreciate the comments, but I'm really just looking for the comments of someone who owns one!

Ive used the BOB and also the Sparpro. They are good for line ups and practising combos pre emptively. Also good for knees and clinch work with elbows (not something that is allowed in boxing). They give good kinisthetic feedback when punching with bare hands and are great for targetting knockouts. I use them to train pre-emptive one punch blows or fast combos. IMO for boxing you are MUCH better off with a heavy bag....BOB and BOXL,SPARPRO are more (IMO) for martial artists.
