    Default Sanders come-back

    a) Sanders is back and the first thing he does is to crush a 6.6(?)ft Australian champion in 2. He was endlessly better and should now be Australian Champion. -You may say; so what Wilson is not good, but its not a given to knock out a giant of a man who is an Australian champion.

    b) Now my QUESTION IS THIS: today, with proper preparation, about where do you put Sanders in terms of who he could beat? This is my list:

He would shock most challengers: Brock, Barret, Ibragimov, Davaryll, Holyfield, etc. He could win against Sam Peter -although he needs to be careful.
He would probably beat Maskaev, Briggs and Valuev. He could beat Wlad in a closer fight than last fight.

So on the basis of how dangerous he is to other opponents, I would rate him in the top 10 perhaps higher. I mean; maskaev, valuev, and briggs -here he has to be the favourite.

Honestly...I aint that impressed with who he just beat...especially if you can say in arguement that Wilson's no good. Both the guys were cannon fodder. Varakin & Wilson had over 12 losses each & that's just not enough for me to go on.

    That being said...Sanders WAS impressive.

I always thought that he was one of the most underratted & heaviest hitters over 200lbs.

I'd have to see what he looked like against Maskaev before I made any decisions on championship level fighters. I think Maskaev is the easiest win outta the bunch.

Wouldn't rate Sanders in the top 10 just yet...but I'd love to see if Wlad could take him in a rematch.

This guy is out of shape. He still has a naturally quick, powerful left hand that was grossly underrated his whole career. Though. Anyone who can avoid his left for a few rounds (like Vitali pretty much did) will be able to catch him when he's billowing for air in the seventh.

Instead of old guys coming back how about some good new guys stepping up?

If Sanders can get his hands on a belt I think we might just see Wladd vs. Sanders II.....

I wish Corrie Sanders had abit of dedication cuz he'd clean up the division .

They guy has lights out power , quick hands and is probably the most dangerous guy in the world for 2 rounds . That being said , I believe his time has probably passed .Abit of a waste of talent IMO and massively underrated

Left hand is very powerful but he just doesn't (or didn't) seem to have a whole lot of other tools. He is probably one of the most dangerous fighter to brawl with though.

....his power was very good and being a lefty it was tricky to block that cross, especially considering how fast it was.

Corrie is 40 years old and I don't think he was in that good of shape when he was in his prime not to mention NOW.

Tough guy, lots of heart, good power but no dedication to the sport

Some fun match-ups: Toney vs Sanders in an eliminator; old KO artist vs old slickster, Sanders vs Briggs; nice 4 rounds; one will be carried out (not sanders - I have never seen him down - he just stands there and takes it wo going down - Teddy Atlas should love this guy as project; he just needs some discipline; imagine working proffesionally on his stamina -run, run run- and movement; he would be good for another 5 years not an easy fight for anyone.

Absolutely! I'm sick of these retreads. First Golota, Briggs, and now Sanders.

I guess seeing Briggs, a lumbering stiff with asthma, win a title has him thinking. I think Corrie should stay on the links. He never was that good. In his prime he got stopped by Rahman for cryin out loud.

Is this division ever going to get better.

The truth is if he fights Wlad again, Wlad will prepare like no tomorrow and knock his lazy ass out!(Quicker and more explosively than Vitali.

I see Wlad heavily preparing for this one if it were to happen. I see him being cautions for about 4 rounds, establishing jab and then thats it.

    Wlad would definitely KO him.
