Thread: The New "Larry Merchant is # 1" Hat. What's it good for?

Kssim The Dream Ouma was wearing one after the fight on Saturday which caused a stir among ring siders. Finally, he had the good sense to turn it around NYC style. My question is what would this hat be useful for?

These guys here HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT.

There's NEVER gonna be a guy who BASHES HBO and boxing performances
as good as Merchant. He's an Anti-Hero if you think about it.

I've never seen a commentator hold strongly to his own thoughts about the
network "HE WORKS FOR" and say them out loud. You listen to all these
commentators of every other sport, they play it safe for the most part.

When are we ever going to have someone who's going to openly complain about
the ref, the mismatches HBO presents, and other things HE points out.

"Show me a guy who hates Merchant because he's biased,
and I'll show you a Biased Bast*rd."

Its not becouse he's biased its because he's a sh1tty comentator.
He drags his sentances out for an hour and a half to make some stupid silly little cutsy comment. The guy is an idiot. AND he's disrespectful to boxers after a fight when they want to get a few quick thank you's in he cuts them off and is rude. He's making a living off of their sweat and blood,to disrepect a fighte or his faith is inexcusable. IMO

Is your first name Floyd, by any chance? heheh No need for "thank yous." But he does drag his sentences. haha And his poetry isn't as bad as everybody elses. As a matter of fact I bet you can't do better. And I've never heard him call out somebody's faith. Rude... you have to be baby, when your surrounded by egotistic boxing bast*rds. Disrespectful? I've seen him commend a fighter he "doesn't like" MANY TIMES and it goes unnoticed because people pay attention to the negatives too much in life.

Just for the record i fully agreed with his comments on PBF and his assesment of pak being better P4P than PBF due to their different styles.

Yeah man, he's one of the few that does his homework oustide of boxing.

"He does .... talk..... slower... than ... punch ... drunk ..... boxers...."

He's old, grumpy, and .... old.
But he still does his homework on the sport and comes in prepared about the boxer's history and the present state of boxing, not to mention his own network, the current ref standings, doctors, trainers, managements, and promotional companies.

Home work my butt. He is a lazy, senile hair ball who does no rseearch on any fighters except the elite. When was the last time you ever heard him talk about boxing reform or a fighter under the radar screen? I wouldn't use his hat for a dog scoop. Aside from that, I guess he is a nice man.

Seriously though... I've seen endless times of Merchant being criticised for calling out boxers for what really happened..... but I've HARDLY seen many point out how many times Merchant CALLS OUT and KEEPS IT REAL with his crazy comments on HBO, the own JOB!!!

So Merchant says what he wants about boxers, AND stuff about the very network that HIRED him.

He's way better than the alternatives out there.
I like him because he's not afraid to ask questions that most people wouldn't have the ball to ask these fighters. It will be a sad day when he retires.
