Default Making it through the holidays without putting on extra pounds

All right lets face it. I know I aint the only one thats pondering this question. I mean we try to stay diciplined but too much dicipline can be exsausting and its the holidays, the eggnog is flowing, the food is outstanding, and we want to enjoy our selves without getting too out of hand. Any suggesstions on how to carry ourselves through this time of year? I thought this would make a cool discussion.

going back to the gym since last friday
not looking forward to that feeling of acid rising in yer tummy because of holiday eats
I'm filipino but normally I don't touch filipino food because it's very salty and and most of it is fried.
It's christmas though...At filipino parties you will be fed by gun point and not allowed to leave until you finish your fourth serving.

If you want to loose weight but be near food over Christmas go and sit in the fridge

Be normal and enjoy yourself, its only two weeks.

Yeah, gotta agree with Jamoie. Just be a normal person for a bit. Get back to the training on Jan 1st (or the second if you are too hung over, I know I will be ). The food isnt my problem, I've just been justifying my cigarette smoking for a few more weeks by telling myself I know I'm gonna get trashed on New Years Eve and smoke a whole pack of cigarettes. Maybe now that I've taken up boxing, I'll finally follow through with the same New Years resolution that I make every year to quit smoking.

That's the plan. been doing a bit here and there to (sort of :P) Maintain my Fitness, gonna do a hard session tonight and probably not again until the 1st or more likely the second... then it is back to 'normal' till the end of the season

My other post on here may sound funny but its very near the truth. go running in this weather in shorts and vest your weight will drop off. the body works twice as hard trying to maintain its corr temperature. When youve finnished wrap up in a ventilated place. You loose twice the weight in the cold than you do in heat.

Absolutely Scrap. I go cycling in this weather - it's fecking baltic 'cause you get the windchill as well (not that you have to go looking for windchill up here). It's good for maintaining the weight whilst stuffing my cakehole.

Nearly forgot. HAPPY NEW YEAR!! LANG MAY YER LUM REEK!
