Default Watched the UFC Last night and...

    Silva IMPRESSED!!!!

I knew Silva had very good jujitsu skills and he used the fully last night tapping out Lutter. People said that Lutter had better submission skills then silva. Not true. If anyone followed Silva in his King of the Cage Days and K1 days they'd know he can grapple with the best of them and grapple a lot better then those people in his division at this moment.

So Silva has great striking and submission skills and he utilized both last night, impressive.

Jackson didn't look like the devastating Quinton(Slam your head into the canvas) Jackson but he did good scoring a second round knockout, he impressed a little for someone who saw him for the first time, but of those who have seen Rampage when he was RAMPAGE!!! There was something to be desired...

CroCop OF COURSE looked one of the most impressive of the night securing a first round KO all I got to tell you is "CRO COP" and you know how he won. That left kick to the head did it and then strikes on the ground finished him off.

    Lookout heavyweight division.

It was a good UFC night in action, I only wish St Pierre wasn't injured

just imagine how Rampage and Crocop would have looked if they both lost!

I'm not sonvinced that Crocop is a sure thing to take away Sylvia's belt though. As good as he is, Tim is pretty good on his feet too, and he has a BIG reach advantage. Will defo be a good bout.

Cro Cop's only weakness is his body(which Hoost took advantage of) And his chin(which MacDonald took advantage of)

Thats why he keeps his distance

Have to disagree with you there mate. Sylvia has heart in tons but he is a striker. Cro cop is a superior striker. probably the best they will ever have in the UFC. I think Sylvia will be like a lamb to the slaughter with Mirko. His punches and kicks are technically superior to anything Tim can offer (who happens to be IMO the most ungainly striker in the UFC...but somehow manages to be kinda effective). Tims legs and body will get kicked to buggery.

Its going to be an interesting bout but Sylvia has to get past the natural first. Who i would LOVE to see take the HW crown. Then again...who wouldnt like to see Randy come back and take the HW crown. The guy is a god and a true gent amongst men.

I agree. Mirko is superior. But I just think people overlook sylvia;s talent. I think he's underrated. when you're 6-8, 260lb and can actually box not half bad, and YOU can get your high kicks up pretty high too, you have a shot against anyone.

Yes, the edge to Mirko, but I don't think it'll be as lopsided as some think. Time will tell.

I pretty much agree with Von 100% on this one. CC is by far technically superior to Tim. But CC was also technically superior to Mark Hunt in every way, but still lost a decision against him in Pride (and even had a very rough time with him in K1, despite scoring a knockdown). Tim will be something new to CC. He can actually stay out of range of CCs kicks and still hit him with the jab. He is MUCH better than most people give him credit. I say look for a CC win later in the fight, most likely a TKO caused by constant leg kicks to slow Tim, who will then be dropped by a straight left, leading to a TKO by way of GnP.

I'm sure that the UFC guys mentioned this or maybe they didn't but Jackson vs Eastman was actually a rematch, and Jackson had lost the first fight back in the King of the Cage days. Back when "Rampage" was first starting to do MMA. I gots it on DVD. Also you guys see the arms on Eastman?! The fuker must have 20 inch arms at least, he's a fukin monster.

He's definately a monster, but he's also the recipient of one of the most embarassing KOs I've ever seen in the UFC. After a snoozefest with I think LITERALLY no landed strikes or takedowns, he was knocked out cold by a single punch by a wrestler with no striking ability.

I seen that fight too. It was boring for the first minute or so, with both guys just circling each other not throwin. Then BOOM! Eastman got KO'd by this dumpy lookin white guy. I thought the guy was known to have some striking ability though, either way yes it was embarassing.
