One down....one to go!
....no one enjoys this?
I figured anytime a Mayweather gets KO'd someone would be happy!
I was screaming repeat! 2007
Gave you a CC in the process.
You know I enjoyed it.
I wish it was the OG weasle in there taking that beating.
Oscar was just a puppy in that fight. Now he is an old dog.
Thanks for the post.
I love the way De La Hoya lets his hands go . So often fighters just put the emphasis on one shot during a combo but its like second nature to Oscar as the combinations flow beautifully .
Also Oscar doesnt carry his hands that high anymore . Against Sturm he was trying to fight like Mayweather . I hope he gets back to his old style in May. A prime Oscar to me is the one that beat Quartey
Well if you analyze in depth, it really is two down..... one to go!Originally Posted by Lyle

....I would have put "two down"....but I couldn't find a clip of Floyd Sr. getting KO'd. The only clips I found of him were where he's old, looking like "The Predator" and sounding drunk as Dean martin at happy hour
What fight are you talking about Lyle?Originally Posted by Lyle
ha ha. eat that. good find lyle. CC![]()
It was De la Hoya-Mayorga, Floyd Sr. was training Oscar and he might as well have been talking jibberish because I couldn't understand himOriginally Posted by Danny_G
Oh. I like how Floyd Sr. backed up Oscar but I did not like how Don King backed up Oscar and Floyd Sr.Originally Posted by Lyle
I do have the fight where Sugar Ray Leonard puts a beating on Mayweather Sr for 10 rounds. Great fight and I see a lot of Mayweather Jr in this fight. Shoulder roll, speed, leaping jab etc..
It's a joy to see how Sugar Ray Leonard was able to finish off his opponents with flurries, shuffles and then raise his hands in the process and then go back and pound some more if they were still standing
I can rip it and up it if you want to see it.

Well here is the clip I wanted to add
All Sugar Ray Leonard has to remind Floyd Mayweather Jr. about when ever he runs his mouth.

Howard got it wrong. That was not a standing 8 count. The fight was stopped because Sugar Ray Leonard laid the smack down on Floyd Mayweather Sr. I mean Floyd Mayweather Sr. took a brutal beating that night
Mayweather moves better then that but Jeff looks like he had a very good jab. But that last flurry only two punches landed...Oscar looked great when Jeff was stationary and traded...but Floyd will be moving his feet a lot and it doesn't look like Oscar throws when his feet are moving
That fight happened in 1993 and was Oscar's 5th pro fightOriginally Posted by P.G.H Angel Eyes
