Why not compare? Everyone seems to want to compare Joe C to the ATG's between 160-175. How do you think Joey would do with the G-Man?

This is a bit sick, Joe Calzaghe is the reigning undefeated world super middleweight champion and the G-Man is a vegetable in a wheelchair, probably wieghing in at 180 plus at the moment?
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
Another Calzaghe against thread?!
As good as Mclennan was I just dont think he was good enough to beat Calzaghe. Calzaghe has the alround game and when posed with the challenge he always rises. After a tough opening stanza Calzaghe begins to stick and move using quick handspeed and effective footwork. A frustrated McLennan loses by decision...
That goes without saying. I clearly talking prime for prime. This is what sc's are for.Originally Posted by X

Thats a tough one to pick... Joe C has the all around goods, but so did the G-Man ... Gerald had absolutely helacious one punch KO power and a relenting agression that was spooky, and that overshadowed Geralds Boxing skill, he was extremely underrated and he also had an excellent jab and quick hands, Gerald showed that stamina wasnt an issue against Benn, even though it had a tragic outcome and Gerald was stopped because of something he couldn't stop or control internally he sure as hell showed heart....Originally Posted by miles
I think Calzaghe would have to be better than he was agaist Lacy while Gerald could beat Joe just putting on a routine peformance![]()
The lacy fight was Joe greatest 'shown' proformance, but i am adamant that he was even better than that a few years back in his prime.Originally Posted by JT Rock

I agree that Calzaghe would need to be on top form to beat Gerald, nothing less would suffice. McClennan didnt quite realise all that he potentially could due to his tragedy and that is something that must also be realised.
g man early or joe c late would be very hard for calzaghe make it out of first few rounds with geralds unbelieveable aggressiveness its pick em for me

I really came to respect Joe and his skill a little later after the Lacy fight.. I even wrote an article a few months back about it... Gerald was so damn enigmatic and had such a dark edge to him it was scary to see the machine he was in the ring... Would be a huge fight and the Biggest challenge of Joe's career IMO, win,win for all of us I would say

As dangerous as G-Man was not everyone he fought was dealt with in a few rounds
Calzaghe would win easily unless G-Man made him kip. Quick.

CC back mate
Actually G-Man would have had an excellent chance of KOing Calzaghe because he's easily drawn into a fight.

Thats the thing with hypothetical fights. Its all guess work on your own part and youve no real idea as to what exactly each boxer will implement as a game plan or where that said game plan might go out the window. It usually rests withthe fighter you support backed up with x+y argument. Tricky!!Originally Posted by Fenster
and Joe would have a good chance of outpointing Gerald if he kept up the workrate by moving and showing different anglesOriginally Posted by Fenster
