If Castillo is better than lastime out and Ricky does him i will give him respect Ricky looked really thin lastime out i know he had to shift loads of weight perhaps if he stays in shape upto the Castillo fight he will be back looking chunky and strong

ricky needs to get back to the hgh work rate he had prior to collazo. he will really strugle with castillo down the stretch if his stamina doesnt hold out.

Ricky has stamina when his body as the fuller look to it against Urango he looked very gaunt and drawn i think he had to shift to much weight. But i don't think he will gain as much weight this time because he had nearly a year off between the collazo fight and urango but it won't be long till he's back in camp .

    Hatton Collazo May 13th 2006

    Hatton Urango Jan 20th 2007

thats 8 months, which is not almost a year, but I agree that a 5 month lay off is better for him.

If Castillo and Hatton are both in top form, there will most defintately be accidental headbutts out the yang.

yeh Castillo has been stopped on cuts before more than once i think.

Hatton real problems ended when that clump of vaseline was removed from under his skin. Apart from the Maussa headbutts he's been fine. Those headbuts would have cut anybody.

Hatton was only 149lbs on the night against Urango. Thats the smallest Hatton I've ever known to be over lhe last couple of years by at least 4/5 lbs which is obviously an indication that the chest infection was serious. Either that or that fry up he skipped this time round is fucking huge

thats interesting I thought he was usually 155-160 when he got in the ring, 149lbs is well off. He looked gaunt and pale too, it was very noticeable, which probably helps explain why he faded in the latter rounds against Juan Urango. If you watch the video at the top of this thread look how ricky's boxing rings round him, and then something just happened and he had to hold on. His corner got worried, I thought he'd broke a rib or something in round 5, he was visibly shaken.

Fair play to him though he got through it, he's a tough little bastard make no mistake there.

I just hope this last couple of fights haven't got too hatton, he had his fair share of trouble in both of them. If he's good he should learn from it and get better. Its either that or he loses his confidence and his edge, then gets beat by someone class like Castillo, Cotto or Mayweather. This next fight will tell us what we need to know about Ricky Hatton, if he wins good all the hating has got to stop.
