who wins ?

Whitaker by clear unanimous decision, at either 135 or 147.

Personally, I think the only guy who could challenge Whitaker at 135 is Duran, and the only ones could beat him at 147 are Ray Robinson and maybe Ray Leonard.

i think Pernell would win also. i

most people will say pernell just because the popular thing to do is pick the past gen fighters against the current gen. even though pernell isn't that old.

i pretty sure there are people that think a 135lb shane could outwork Pernell.

shane was atg status at 135, imo

One thing with Mosley he keeps good form anybody of his statuer he will give problems.

at lightweight this is a wonderful match up
and i like both fighters u know i really dont know who wud win
but if i had to go for a winner hmmmm id say Pernell by split points.
and personally i think Sweet pea wud beat duran at lightweight , styles make fights

shane mosely at 135 stops everybody....pernell included

This is a classic matchup at Lightweight for me. Really hard to pick a winner - I would lean towards a narrow decision for Sweet P

yup , hard to see Shane losing to anyone at lightweight

Mosley was great at lightweight, but Whitaker would definitely outbox him.
Mosley was a big puncher at 135, but let's not forget, Whitaker took all of Tito's best power shots at 147. If he could take those, he could take Shane's best shot without any problems.

Pete was crafty... a slick southpaw who would get angles on his opposition. at his prime he would be hard to defeat. Pete's skills , accompanied with the southpaw advantage made him something special.
