i posted this earlier was shocked at scorecards 96-94 looked like tua struggled and i think its time for him to retire i mean if he can only beat and guy with 26-6-7 kos by 6 rounds to 4 theres no real hope i think its best for him to retire

Honestly, Hawkins is a hard guy to look good against but Tua is past his best. Unfortunate that legal troubles held him out of his prime.

I dont know about hawkins or nothing...
But tua is past his best... And really if hes facing none named fighters he should be sparking them left right and centre if his intentions have anything to do with heavyweight titles again..

Tua is done as any type of real force in the sport...If he could muster up the conditioning for one fight...IMO Tua could beat any of the title holders with the exception of Wlad but again it is a big IF

And somebody gave me a SC for saying Valuev wouldnt stop this bum in 2-3 rounds . there is no chance for him to get a title shot, this fighter got owned by Sam Peter right?..........Tua should just call it quits.

Tua seems to be labouring a lot more these days. I like Tua but he is going to need to show a lot more in his next couple of fights if he is to truly mount any kind of challenge to the belt holders...

    Welcome back! CC

Sure. I see it like this: If Briggs and Maskaev are current title holders, I don't see any reason why it seems inconceivable for Tua to hold a title. Hawkins is a pretty awkward journey-man who gives most fighters allot of problems. Bear in mind that Hawkins has only been stopped by Maskaev who was KO'd by Tua. Although Tua is a different fighter now, he needs some fights to recover his skills. He has already said in interviews that he needs allot of work and some fights to get back on track.
At least he's not a delusional slavic pilt-down-man who thinks his cushy opponents will secure him a place in the same text as Marciano.
One imbecile on this site even had the audacity to say that the missing link from the caves of the east would stop Tua...what a fukin dullard!

i always LOVED tua and still do. i would like to know if he intentionally went the distance to test his conditioning and to better prepare himself for the bigger fights to come or did he really struggle as alot of you posted. its kinda hard cuz i think no one here actually saw the fight? perhaps if tua got a better trainer better sparring partners conditioned his body better?

i dont know its hard cuz we dont know too much about him these days? all we know is all that legal drama tied him up for those 2 plus years?

To be fair Sam Peter couldn't put Hawkins away either, and he looked pretty lackluster against him as well.
