He talks a good one, but I think he will suffer from early success/hype syndrome, the same disease that struck Fernando Vargas and Panchito Bojades.

Zab will look great in his warm up fight, then get a huge head and start talking trash about everyone to anyone. He will also assume that he will beat Cotto and again think himself better than he actually is.
Love it, "best P4P"?, there are at least 3 who would argue with that

"Still the best pound for pound fighter out there"

Zab is dellusional. I don't think he's ever even been top 10 p4p.

I like how he says he isn't looking past April 14th and the respect he gives to Cotto.

But really, when I started reading that interview I almost laughed when he said "I am looking forward to getting in there and do what I do best, and that is to dominate."

But as I read on he seemed a little more humble(maybe thats just me) but I thought he may be looking past his tuneup AGAIN and then he said how great of a fighter Cotto was but that he isn't gonna look past April 14th which is good.

Didn't like that he said he was gonna prove he's the best p4p fighter, but ever fighter says that so I can't single out him.

All I can say about zab judah is "we'll see"

Not quite the same. As Vargas at least.. Zabs problems are all his own, he has a shitload of talent, and has only himself to blame for the way his career has went.. I say they aren't the same because Vargas was really thrown in against great fighters, or at least Tito, way too soon, and it ruined him, or at least alot of him... Zab's been managed just fine, if anything that's the best thing he has going for him... How exactly did he manage to get this Cotto fight anyways? How did he get the rematch with Spinks after looking so crap vs Pineda and Corley and losing the first, how did he keep the IBF title and fight Floyd in his next fight after losing to Baldomir? Fransisco Bojado is a decent comparison to Zab ..He had the talent and ability, he was brought up fine, but he lost to his first 2 live bodies by way of his own lack of heart and focus.. There not quite the same because he didn't fight a great fighter and get KO'ed like Zab, he lost to some Rubio fighter, then dropped a UD to an old Jesse James Leija which was supposed to be his comingn out performance, but certainly they share some mental flaws... Anyways, Zab is lucky, because unlike those two, even though suffering some bad losses, it doesn't seem to have really taken a toll on him physically or mentally, the latter was probably a result of his mother smoking crack while pregnant, or maybe he got dropped on his head... Either way, you get what Im saying, Zab's faced world class guys and has had his flaws exposed, but I don't think he's any less of a fighter now then he ever was... He just isn't consistent, and lacks some of the mental aspects of the sport... Has nothing to do with him being beaten or thrown in against top fighters too early or at the wrong time.. THe guy just blows most of his big chances due to his nature.

That is a great post my man, have a CC on me. I know I'm pretty harsh on Judah but even I admit that his speed is a challenge for anyone at 147 and I do(begrudingly) envision him giving my boy Cotto a few scares en route to being stopped. It should be a good fight and Judah should be coming off a win from his tune up so his confidence should be reasonably high. I just see Cotto breaking him down over the course of the fight,I think a mid to late tko for Cotto. I just don't see Zab staying focussed/bringing enough energy to maintain any scares he may give Cotto.Judah.although his power is over rated at 147,should be able to give us an indication of how Cotto handles decent power and AWESOME speed.

Does anyone else see a slight pattern here for Cotto, Paulie was supposed to box(slick southpaw),Urkal has said he is going to box and Judah is probably one of the few fighters who can match Floyd Mayweather's speed. I think it's building up to a Cotto-Floyd fight you know!

both of you get cc's from me for crazy good posts

having said that, judah is gonna win this one or get robbed in a HUGE way. ive liked miguel in the past and felt that he was a great prospect (the vets who post on this forum may remember) but judah is waay out of miguels league at this stage in their respective careers. cotto's coming off a great win over CARLOS QUINTANA (who was NOBODY until he beat an incredibly overhyped prospect/up and coming KID) and ive actually heard people comparing him to tito because of that victory (like cotto would beat a prime odlh and tito would have so much trouble with chop chop and torres ...........................give me a fucking break)

the haters wanna bring up baldomir. good for them, zab had 1 bad fight cuz he was vastly overlooking his tune up against baldo (the pbf fight was signed before that fight even took place) i guarantee judah doesnt make that same mistake twice

had judah vs. spinks 1 gone 20 seconds longer, it wouldve been a judah ko for sure, but when judah vs. spinks 2 happened, it was zab at his finest

yeah he got caught with a miracle shot from tszyu but that fight was stopped prematurely by nady whether the haters wanna admit it or not

and i shouldnt even have to mention the pbf fight cause mayweather beats EVERYBODY from 154 down

    my official prediction.................

an incredibly controversial split decision in favor of cotto because the puerto rican fanbase has nothing since tito and hbo needs the revenue.

    just wait and see

IT's funny because as weak chined or poorly focused as he usually is Zab Judah still has the capability of beating anyone p4p in the world.
