Yep totally agree Kessler is man he needs to beat imo then maybe go after winner of Hopkins vs Winky then go for his last fight for Roy Jones Clinton Woods or Carl Froch.

i can't vote coz im tied between 2...

    Taylor and kessler are 50/50

Joe has been slated for not fighting 'great' fighters even tho up untill kessler he has beateen everyone with the balls to get in the ring with him. He has also been slated for only fighting at home bla bla

Now u got two sides to this...

He goes to the us and whoops taylor or fights kessler...

Taylor is prolly the best option.. Taylor has said countless times 160 is very hard for him to make so there should be no excuse that 168 was a step up to far for him. Joe beats kessler kessler becomes another 'overrated EU fighter' Lacy was the enxt big thing, now he is the most 'overrrated fighters' since fuck knows when, so why would a win over Kessler be any thing better? even tho i rate kessler taylor is porlly the btter optioin, and at 35 going on 36 the bigger pay day...

I would like to see it as kessler, Taylor in MSG than take the best LHW and call it a day. he does that only an idiot or a hater could question his right as being an ATG and a HOF'er IMO

It depends on what Calzaghe wants. If he wants to appeal to the casual fan, Warren should try get Rik Waller to slim down to 168. If he wants to create a legacy he needs to fight Taylor or Wright. That's the only fight he can take without potentially getting slated for it.

If he fights Roy Jones and wins......Jones is washed up

If he fights Hopkins and wins.....Hopkins is over the hill

If he fights Kessler and wins.....Kessler is just an over rated EU fighter

If he fights Froch and wins....Froch is over rated

So that leaves Winky or Taylor who are both smaller than Calzaghe. Going by what happened tonight and what i have seen in Winky and in Taylor, Calzaghe beats both of them. Winky will cover up and wait for Joe to finish before firing back. Joe might not get through with that many but he will still do more than Winky. Taylor could be a tough fight but one i see Calzaghes emerging victorious from. Froch could actually be the most difficult fight out there for Calzaghe. His style could potentially be a big problem and i think Froch knows he can get inside Joe's head a little bit. If Joe gets sucked into a shoot out it would get interesting.

Maybe putting Kessler in with Lacy would be interesting for now....because he needs a big name on his resume to really get peoples attention. Casual fans would see Kessler as a padded EU fighter....when in fact he is quite decent....but still not on Calzaghe's level.

***I dont think Taylor is really smaller. He is in a lighter division but at 6'2, I think he's taller than J.C. (who i believe is around 5'11) and capable of putting on weight easily to move to super middle or light heavy. I dont know about J.C. beating both him and Wright, either. In the Taylor fight, Winky didnt just sit back and cover up. He was the aggressor for much of it, if not most of it. His performance against Manfredo did nothing to convince me that he would dominate at the top level that both Wright and Taylor sit upon; both are much better boxers than either Lacy or Peter Manfredo. I think Winky Wright has a better defense and hits just about as hard as Calzaghe, who has the better offensive attack. This I think would be a real interesting fight. Jermaine Taylor not only is a pretty damn good boxer and can hit hard enough to cause problems for Joe, but he's got the advantage when it comes to range and height. This is the toughest fight out there for Joe, in my opinion.

Fight I really want to see is him taking on kessler, but at this point I think he's gonna get shafted no matter what. I mean it happened with his win over lacy, its going to happen if he beats taylor, wright, or hopkins...either going to be overhyped, to small, or to old would be the reasons as to why joe won. I really can't see how someone would justify that taylor was overhyped but I'm sure the case would be made for it if he lost to joe. I just hope his next fight is against a top name that's all.

He can beat them all so it don't matter who he fights.

Honestly, do we really need to vote on this?
I think it's pretty clear who the people are gonna favour as an opponent.

He has to fight Kessler! But if that falls through... a bout with Mundine would be cool to watch! Mundine would flog that Manfredo!

Gotta be Kessler for sure but if they cant sort that out then Id rather see him with Hopkins or Roy Jones, or Froch but hes probaby not big enough in America yet. I've never liked Taylor that much anyway and dont have much interest in seeing him in with Calzaghe. Joes gotta be too big for him he should stay at Middleweight.
