Danish press is reporting today that Palle has cancelled the meeting he was supposed to have with Frank Warren. Supposedly because he is tired of being the second choice, with Warren and Calzaghe having made it clear that they are after Taylor first. Palle on the other hand reveals that negotiations have started for a rematch against Anthony Mundine.
I don't expect any of you to understand Danish, but just to prove I am not just making it up, here ya go anyway:

I dont really know what to make of this. First, this may very well just be a smokescreen. Secondly it does make good sense to start looking around for other options for Kessler's next fight, when Calzaghe is anyway looking the other way. And Mundine is obviously among the top fighters at 168, currently rated third by The Ring (behind only Calzaghe and Kessler), and seemingly he has improved lots since 2005. So if Calzaghe is unavailable, Mundine might just be the toughest opponent out there currently at 168. However it would still feel a bit like going backwards to rematch a guy, Kessler have already soundly beaten on his own home turf.
Anyway, this is boxing, and this involves Mogens Palle, so nothing should be taken for granted until both fighters are actually standing in front of each other in the ring ready to fight.
