What happens if they had foughten eachother at the time Taylor went to fight Chavez? At 140

Umm nice match up Whitaker never met anyone as fast as Taylor its hard to say i think Taylors fast combos and high workrate would give Whitaker problems i think Taylor might be able to edge out a decision.

One guy knew how to hit, but also got hit plenty in return. The other was the master of hitting without getting hit back. Pretty easy therefore to figure out who wins.

I have an old Ring mag and they did this matchup review in 1987 , the experts were split 2-1 in favour of Whitaker and i have to agree , Meldrick was super fast but Sweet Pea was just a bit to good for him for my money both nice guys also

Pernell would win. Meldrick was fantastic and he would have some success with his handspeed but Pernell was just ridiculously elusive.
