That was a good stoppage. Judah wouldve been down again within 10 seconds...he took a great beating. He was thankful to the ref to stop it.
I guess you are referring to the stoppage?Originally Posted by Trainer Monkey

I wanted to see Cotto finish Judah off but it was stopped.
I did not hear Zab complain about the stoppage.
Both these fighters mentioned above were saved. Corley/Judah.
Judah taking a knee then getting dropped on his azz and his back.
He was toast.
Judah got owned. Judah was just looking for that hail mary.
Tisk tisk tisk. Cotto's glass chin was glued together pretty good
I wanted a war and I got it.
These are the kinds of fights I love to see.
2 steps,3 punches,1 blocked does not exactly equal a defensless barrage.
It was an absolute crap stoppage
Hey lets just get rid of the 3 knockdown rule
It never comes up anyway
It was a very good stoppage. Judah wsa just surviving...barely. The ref did a great job the whole fight.

i see there's no pleasing some people. if the ref would have let Zab get trapped on the ropes and hit with 10 unanswered blows, they be calling for the ref to get fired...lol.
If that had happened,Id have been fine with the stoppageOriginally Posted by EastonAssassin

If Judah was that badly hurt, why let him continue after the knockdown?
I thought it was a tad iffy at the very instant, but with hinsight based on Judah having no objection to it, the stoppage was fine imo. Zab wasn't going to win, though I did think he deserved the chance to finish the fight based on the heart he had shown so far, assuming he could have fought on. Either way the ref should have perhaps let it keep going.. If Zab had taken another flurry on the ropes then sure, stop it.. But like I say, he wasn't about to win, Cotto took anything he had already just fine.
rematchOR should they both have a few more fights before that
Anyway, if anyone says Cotto stays in with Mayweather after this fight is wrong imo. I don't think Cotto could make it past Oscar at 154
He did impress me tonight. I just hope the HC Judah fans don't say that it was because of Cotto's low blow
Im not a fan of either
But if it continues,Zab has a punchers chance
It was too quick a stoppage, allow either fighter to say they got it clean
If it had gone to the cards,Cotto has it,but let it go.
if Zab's not saying it was too quick, can anyone really complain? we all know if Zab thought it was even a lil too quick, he would be bitchin and crying conspiracy. i always thought if the fighter is ok with the stoppage, it was a good stoppage.
You guy are forgetting the last time Mercante was in a televised fight a fighter died (can't remember fighter right now). He is not about to let someone gut hit more than necesary. Although I think Judah deserved to finish, it was a good stoppage.

even cotto said he felt like zab could have continued...it was early but judah didn't argue neither was he throwing enough punches..so oh well..but on a sad note tarver won and got to run his big mouth again....
