Thread: Copa America final

The second string Brazil team are hammering the Argentina first team 3-0 right now.
Julio Baptista with a beautiful goal early on, then an unfortunate own goal from Ayala near half time and with around 20 minutes left, Dani Alves has struck on the counter attack for Brazil to make it 3-0.
Pretty shocking, didn't expect this. Argentina looked so good on their way to the final, while Brazil were average at best.

Definitely a bit surprising.

Alves is good, is he still playing for the Spanish team, think its Sevilla? Baptista always looked kinda crappy to me, or at least underwhelming, when he plays at Arsenal.

Yeah man, Alves is quality... Baptista seems to be getting lazy since he moved from Sevilla to Real Madrid. At Sevilla, he was a beast though. Guess some players just settle better at certain clubs than others... either that or now that he is making a fortune, he couldn't be bothered anymore, haha.
Anyway,
Game over, 3-0 to Brazil.
Very impressive defence by Brazil, Argentina didn't even have a sniff of a chance for the whole match. Messi and Tevez were poor... Riquelme was trying, but nothing came of it and he wasted a few frees... Cambiasso worked hard. The rest were anonymous pretty much.
Just think, Brazil did this without Kaka, Ronaldinho, Lucio and Adriano to name a few.

Based on their entire tournament performances, Argentina deserved to win and the players must be gutted... felt sorry for them.
