Default Punched a guy in the jaw area, knocked out a tooth but no knockout

I don't like fighting but it happened and during the fight i was trying ot end the fight by knocking out the dude, I went for his jaw and I must have hit with a lot of force cuz he lost a tooth, but he did not seem phased or losing balance etc. Does anyone know why? Did I aim at the wrong direction or was my punch not hard/fast enough? Any advice is welcomed.

funny thing is that you are asking for advice for something that you dont like doing...either way, i assume you are talking about a street fight.

first things first, its pretty easy to knock a tooth out.

second, if he didnt seem phased or off balance, you probably didnt get him that hard after all, and you certainly didnt get him in the right spot. its not too hard to knock a person out with a bare fist so long as you know where to put your punch, and the teeth is certainly not that spot. drop it down an inch or so from the bottom row of teeth and then he will be down. hitting the top row of teeth doesnt do shit, i actually think thats probably the most stable or protected area on the face because of the arch structure.

well i couldn't really tell how he was after I punched him cuz people were in between us holding us back, but he seemed ok like a minute later. I knocked out a lower tooth so it was not far from the jaw i guess.

Yep never get into street fights always try and avoid a fight if possible in street fight you don't think where your going to hit him you just hit him you haven't really got time to think in a street fight i don't really know what you want advice on ?? in street fight anything goes you hit him on the jaw and you don't like fighting well think yourself lucky you didn't get hurt and move on don't think about stuff like that and always avoid a fight if possible.

Fiddy, the dudes tooth was probably rotten, ready to drop out anyway...in other words you can sleep tight nothing has changed, you do only punch with the power of a powder puff.

if you hit him on the jaw and it didn't phase him then either he's got an iron cast chin or you've got a weak punch.

Either way this is a boxing forum. Doing something with your fist clenched doesn' make it boxing... or else I would call wankers boxers!

You're welcome around here if you want to talk boxing, but post this type of shit on some other board.
