I hate to burst your bubble question but Castillo beat him the first time around.Originally Posted by deadlypete
Just because they gave the fight to Floyd did not mean he won that fight. I know what time it is.
Generally speaking, the great defensive fighters don't lose until age catches up with them. It's actually age that beats them more than a certain opponent.Originally Posted by deadlypete
Floyd is too elusive to catch right now, just as Pernell Whitaker was once too fast and too smart for anyone to catch. Age/drugs caught up with Pernell, if Floyd fights long enough, age will catch up with him too.
I wouldn't count on it happening yet though.
A young Kessler at 154 would match him and outpower him also. Kessler was damn powerfull and extremely quick at 154.Originally Posted by deadlypete

anyway no i don't think he's too elusive for anyone to beat him. it's not like he never gets hit. i just think he's and extremly hard worker and that no one has found a way to beat him. PBF adjust very well fighters in the ring. castillo and judah had pretty good fights against PBF. PBF is not only a very slick fighter but he is a very smart fighter.
Exactly.. he's too SMART.. he will hit you everytime you leave yourself open and make you pay for it.. And he does get hit but he avoids and avades you enough to make you punch air punch after punch which can take you completely out of your rhythm.Originally Posted by 'The Boxer'
Your a Kessler fan then i take it? lolOriginally Posted by Peter Plys 44
I agree with you. After watching the fight again the other day i have no idea how the judges scored it for Mayweather. Plus i feel that if Oscar didnt tire so much in their fight we would have won too.Originally Posted by Danny_G
Floyd is a million miles away from perfect, Castillo and De La Hoya both managed to hit him often enough.
actually delahoya missed...or had his punches blocked..and the floyd that fought castillo is no longer around...that floyd was young and managed to beat castillo on pure athletic ability... the floyd now would destroy that version of castillo..
and if anyone thinks that version of floyd is the blueprint on how to beat him...then they will have to them what delahoya, judah and gatti had...
floyd no sits in the pocket much better than he did back when he fought castillo...even in the second fight he beat castillo from the outside...again floyd is much better at fighting on the inside than he was then...and hatton will taste it from the outeside and inside en route to being stopped by his corner
