Default Why is Sam Peter Made Out to be a Big Puncher?

Hes a good puncher, but hes won 28 (KO 22)-1 which seems pretty average for any top heavyweight. Aside from that big knockout of Williams he has shown average to good power but definitely not spectacular. Even his knockdowns of Wlad were not really great punches. I'm not knocking the guy and I do like him but its just a thought.

The way he's built, he looks like a knock out puncher. But i agree, I don't see him as the murderous puncher he's made out to be

Good point. Hes a strong looking guy and looks kind of menacing. Must be the reason.

out of his last 5 fights, he has only knock 1 of em out, but he is still a massive puncher. his punches are very very heavy, probably the heaviest in the division. what this guy lacks is getting the punches home, and in combinations against world class competition!

he couldnt ko wlad cos he didnt catch him with a clean shot on his chin, he grazed it tho. he dropped him 3 times with shots to the back of the head. not knockin out wlad in 2005 is not a big deal cos this guy is in the prime of his career, he was really improved back then. then he fought 7ft long and destroyed him. he then fought hawkins a solid veteran who is good at NOT gettin knocked out. he then faced toney twice and couldnt stop him, maninly cos toney has great defense and a AWESOME chin!

his next fight will show weather he could punch or not. his punches sound different to alot of heavyweights, very heavy. i would like to see him fight povetkin but i think povetkin is too stand up, too basic and will get stopped!

i tend to disagree thats his punches dont hit home. he was catching toney with big ones and toney has good defense.but i dont think he is the heavy hitter that everyone thought he was. he is just really big in built, and maybe thats all there is to it.

I think he's a heavy hitter but he's slow. Opponents see his punches coming so get prepared. The best punches are the ones the opponent doesn't see. Most of the best punchers had speed in their pop...
