Thread: Calzaghe's third belt???

I keep seeing these posters around the net of the calzaghe v kessler fight, and in them JOe has three belts, the ring, WBO, what is the third? he doesn't have a third belt...

Anyone know? has some fool used a photo of him whilst he held the IBF belt? looks like it...?

He won BBBofC British super middleweight title early in his career but other than that he doesn't have 3 belts Preme he won IBF title from Lacy and he gave it up didn't he ?? and he has WBO title thats it.

The Ring maybe? He is The Ring Champion but I dont know if they give him a belt.

i'm talking about the fight poster ice, on that with him and kessler in it it shows joe with three belts, the WBO and The ring on his shoulder, one around his waste... its that one i was aksing about...

i know he only has two belts, as he as stripped of the IBF, never bothered taking the IBO from lacy, that went vacant...

In the poster for the fight i was just wondering what the third belt was, it would been a piss poor error if someone had used a photo of him with his IBF belt for an official fight poster.. (ill see if i can find it and up it here)

It's the IBF Strap he won off Lacy.

Seems a bit stupid to use that photo since there is a new IBF champion now... i know joe was never beat for it, but still he aint the ibf champ... looks way amatureish...

Yes Ring magazine gives championship belts out based on criteria as to whoever is the linear champ or meets their criteria for being the legitimate champ.
