Thread: Bear vs. Gorilla

im in school and all my freinds say a gorilla can beat a bear

bear will eat a gorilla i just wanna know who will win

i think a gorilla would win

A silverback gorilla would definitely destroy a bear.

I'd say a grizzly would destroy a gorilla. A gorilla is a herbivore designed to eat plants, a bear is an ominivore trained to eat and hunt basically anything.

A bear would rip a gorilla apart, it would be brutal and bloody.

Gorillas are just as strong as bears (if not stronger) and have superior intelligence. Unlike with humans, gorillas are still very strong and dangerous despite being vegetarians. They are capable of inflicting a lot of damage on something that angers it. I would rather encounter a bear than a gorilla.

Other than that, Bears can be mentally intimidated while gorillas cannot. Gorillas are bigger than bears so there's a chance the gorilla would just scare the bear away.

What sort of bear? Polar bears can stand 12 feet high......pretty big if you ask me. They also weigh twice as much as a Siberian Tiger.

I know nothing of the brown bears though, are they just as big? If so I think the bear wins. Bears have teeth and claws meant for ripping prey to fwock. Gorillas are strong as hell but have no weapons to seriously hurt a bear do they?

Full grown grizzlies are about 6feet tell and weigh upwards of 600 pounds i believe. Strong as hell + fist = weapon. A gorilla doesn't need to have fancy weapons like claws or teeth, it will just straight up punch you in the mouth or "gorilla bash" you and do and equally impressive amount of damage. I say we take it to the sign language spelling bee and see who wins then.

Gorillas have thumbs. I rest my case.

If polar bears do infact get up to 12 feet tall, i can't argue with that.

Since a gorilla is so smart then he would know to run for the nearest tree to insure that he would not become this ten feet high 1,000 to 1,200 pounders snack.Without a gun the gorilla would lose.

Slinging feces is a pretty good weapon if you ask me. I wouldn't want to get within throwing range of a Gorilla.




BTW, bear takes this one no prob.

I just went to the Columbus Zoo last Friday & I can assure you with no doubt in my mind that the Gorilla wins this epic battle.
The Gorilla is smart enough to improvise a tool/weapon to pound/shoot the stupid Bear with.

The Bear didn't even know how to pose for a picture.
The Gorilla actually smiled. (sorry, wrong angle)

Wolverines have been know to run bears off of kill sites. Wolverines are like a 100 pound badger....pretty fucking mean and freakish power for thier size.
