Default Haye Mormeck set for November 10th

This means that Haye hasn't fought at Cruiser in 51 weeks by the time of the bout.

Personally, I think this is going to cause him problems. I hope I'm wrong.

Unless he gets Mormeck out of there sharpish - which is unlikely given Mormecks' decent whiskers - he could well run out of steam down the line in the face of the Frenchmans high output.

Mormeck also has lasting issues, I've gotta go with Haye on this one.
Kind of a waste if Haye is going to Heavyweight, he could have a huge impact there.

For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

November? Isnt this in September? I heard rumblings of a postponement a while back but thought it was still set for September 28th.

It's November now. I'm going for either Haye early or Mormeck late. Haye never had the stamina even before the weight became an issue.

Well i read an interview in Boxing News around six weeks ago, and they were already in training. In could work as an advantage as it gives them more time to take the weight off gradually. Who knows?

One thing is for sure Haye is stepping up in class bigtime.

Haye seems a bit over confident he'll take Mormeck out early..although he does have some serious physical advantages

This has been a great year for big fights being made.

Mormeck by late stoppage Giacobbe Fragomeni gave Haye all he could handle Mormeck has the chin to outlast the early assault and stop Haye late on Hayes chin is suspect and his stamina is definetly suspect.

Thats one scenario I have Mormeck is a better fighter than Fragomeni.

You can never count out Haye because of his power but I fear the Cruiser layoff will have repercussions.

i say haye wins this inside 3 rounds, people in america underestimate british fighters alot, mainly cos they havent seen enough of their fights. lemme warn any americans betting on this fight....DONT UNDERESTIMATE DAVID HAYE. this guy is a real talent. he has unreal punching power, extremly explosive.

i read about the american press hyping up american cruiserweights and these guys look big, ugly and out of shape. they probably wont last a round with guys like haye and maccarnelli. i neva hear anyone talking about haye as the next big thing in the heavyweights. its shocking!

ppl lick the americans arses too much, american fighters arses that is. imho haye will brutally stop a robotic guy like wlad. now b4 u reply, jus watch his fights on youtube.

    thank you

Im English and have seen most of Haye fights good power good skills but he has suspect chin and suspect stamina Mormeck has iron chin and hits hard like Haye he can outlast Haye and stop him late on.

I agree to a certain extent that some British fighters are under rated, but i think people have a valid point with predicting Mormeck, this is a big jump up in class for Haye Mormeck has been in with much better fighters, Haye has never been near someone as good as Mormeck, well the closest would be Carl Thompson who was about 40 years old.

The only thing I'm virtually certain of is that it won't go the distance.

It's entirely possible that both could end up gassed and virtually unable to continue after 7 or 8 rounds.

Should be a cracking fight whilst it lasts.

I'm a Londoner living in the US and YES, Haye is unknown outside of people on this board. When I started this thread I wasn't trying to diss Haye in any way. I think he's a great fighter and also a good product outside the sport. I also think he can make great waves in the Heavyweight division - given it's current state. He may not beat all the Eastern Bloc boys but he's good enough to bowl over the US chaps. In that situation he'll have a big step up given that he's A) Black (at least in US terms) B) British (or rather not Eastern European) C) Good looking and well spoken D) a KO specialist. He can make waves and money in the US of A.

However, I think he's making a mistake by fighting Mormeck at Cruiser after a year without a fight at the weight. He'd easily beat Mormeck at heavy IMO but the weight will drain the fuck out of him, especially as he hasn't made it in a year.

I do hope I'm wrong though as I think he's great

Are you predicting a Rocky II type ending? that would be cool.

Haye has his limitations at the weight, and is there to be taken by someone who has the skills to avoid his power and the stanima to wear him down, I'm just not convinced that Mormeck is the guy to do it, overrated IMO.
