Omar Chavez the youngest of the Chavez boys hes 4-0 and looks very talented I would say a bit more natural then what JCC looked when he was 4-0.

    2 years he'll be a champ.
As honest as I can be I find that really hard to believe.

Technically he doesnt count anymore, as he fought his 6th pro fight friday, but I'd still like to nominate Yuriorkis Gamboa (http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php...1770&cat=boxer).

As Solis, he is Cuban and 2004 Olympic Gold medallist. His opponent on friday was 25-1, with the only previous defeat being in a WBO titlefight.

Well that would be good going but not impossible. He's already beaten Jeremey Bates in his 5th fight and was slated to fight Ross Purity but he pulled out.

He's being moved very quickly and if he continues winning and fighting as often as he does he could well be in title contention by October 2009 I think, after all Alexander Pvetkin is potentially only two fights away from a world title shot and he only started his pro career in June 2005.

An older guy from my gym made his debut on the Duddy undercard.
Martin Sweeney, won by Tko in the second. Very good amateur career.

He was the first name on my lips Dan. I saw him fight Tony McQuade on an undercard and he looked impressive. He did everything right and appears to be learning. The McQuade fight took him to 4-0. McQuade is a young 19 year old fighter, very game but looks like he'll be a journeyman at best in the end. British level max if he improves. Buckley however, could go alot further.

Ricky Owen was the other name I thought of. He's from Swansea, currently 6-0. I think quite a few on here have heard of him though.

Gamboa looks awesome. Bit of a RJJ thing going on there. Hope he progresses well.

    "The New," Ray Robinson.

It was a while back and I remember thinking that he was pretty good. Great footwork, combinations, came from good angles. he was real lanky if I remember correctly.

    Good prospect, IMO.

    He was 4-0, or something.

I have never heard of this bloke but THANKS Hobbit.

Anyone who is 5-0 (4 ko) in his first five fight could well be a prospect and could well win one of the titles in todays sorry age. His first five opponents had a 94-36 record which is miles (or km's) better than most prospects......
I'm never drinking again (I am a liar)
