Whitaker threw about 100 punches around while being nearly impossible to hit, and holds compubox records for punches thrown. That in itself makes him more "exciting" then Mayweather.
Im agreeing Sweet Pea was just more fun to watch
He used to brawl more aswell. His fight with Mayweather was very entertaining even the ref got staggered from a punch from WhitakerOriginally Posted by Majesty
But Mayweather was in some good fights at Superfeatherweight remember his fight with Jesus Chavez.
I hate Floyd but respect where it's due... Floyd has more KOs... I think Floyd a few years back before he started doing all this weight jumping was very exciting... And yes that Jesus Chavez fight was great! Castillo gave him fits!
Pernell had many great fights but I have to go with YOUNGER Floyd!
It really is all relitive... Who's to say whats exciting... I loved watching Sweet Pea

whitaker way more entertainig
Whitaker was only impossible to hit by lesser opponents. Chavez and Oscar hit him plenty of times. I think Whitaker was fun to watch, but he was less dynamic than Mayweather. Also there have been a few fights in Mayweather's career where he has decided to make it a brawl and has had as exciting of fights as anyone I've seen like against Ndou, Corley, Sosa, Chavez, Burton. Also Mayweather always does amazing things, A lot of times Whitaker looked kind of like Roy JOnes Jr. and just playing with opponents. I still feel Whitaker didn't have the greatest competition, at least guys who matched up well with him, most of them were very slow and Mayweather would have also handled them with ease(except the guys like Chavez). Also Mayweather is the better athlete, he hits harder than Whitaker and he's faster which makes him more exciting because he looks so quick and crisp. When its all said and done I think its a toss up.
But it sounds like you're leaning toward MayweatherOriginally Posted by Taeth

Mayweather for me.
Roger Mayweather, Jose Luis Ramirez, Greg Haugen, AZUMAH NELSON, Jorge Paez, Buddy McGirt, Julio Cesar Chavez, Julio Cesar Vasquez, Hurtado and Oscar De la Hoya isn't good enough?Originally Posted by Taeth
I obviously like watching him more, but I am trying to not be totally biased. I just feel people are forgetting about Mayweather's exciting fights.Originally Posted by PRIDE OF BOSTON

Vazquez looked good against a young Winky, but he was far too slow to fight Whitaker it was like Baldomir against Mayweather. Roger was a good fighter, but below Whitaker's class and he knocked Pernell down. I've seen both Ramirez fights and he was too slow, same with Haugen, and Nelson. I think Azumah was great at the lower weights but he couldn't keep, where is the drama there? Same with Paez he wasn't fast enough. A lot of these guys were great fighters against the right the right opposition, but not against a truly great speed fighter. I say Mayweather beats them all with the same ease that WHitaker did.
Both were great to watch.
Slightly go with Whitaker, loved the jab, the body shots.
Tough call though, Floyd was not boring at all at the lower weights.
Whitaker's jab at Lightweight was something you can actually hear how hard it is against Greg Haugen.
Listen to early Mayweather's jab... just listen to how it hits Chico in the pit of the stomach and you could see that it was actually phasing him.
