Default Inkin out of Froch fight

Apparently he's ill, it's on fightnews.

Shame really, it was meant to be an eliminator between two guys on the same rung of the ladder in their careers.

Would liike to see Miranda step in on this one if he's in shape and still looking for an opponent.

Yeah, gutted for Froch...he had a disappointing season last year, and this was due to be a big year for him, starting with Inkin.

Sadly, another fight falls through for him, and the explosion of Froch (hopefully) on to the world scene is delayed again.

And here's the article on the bbc website.

Disappointing, I favoured Froch for this one and it would have been a nice learning fight for him.
    Perhaps Lacy/Bika will be available.

But i dont even think a good fighter can fill in in less than 3 weeks till fight night. What a shame, gutted i am.

Typical Dennis Inkin behaviour, he'll do anything he can to avoid a ranked contender before he gets his mandatory.

I'd quite like to see Froch in with Tony Oakey, would make for a good domestic scrap. Oakey is a tiny 175 lber so Froch could move up or even weigh in at around 170 and still be the bigger man on fightnight

    Froch cant afford these letdowns

f**k Inkin . Move on and fight someone reliable . He's gotta keep active cuz his time is ticking away and I think we are missing his best years whilst he waits .

In Inkins defense I have to say that there is indeed a flu epidemic running in Germany...nearly everybody I know were or are sick...so it could actually be the truth that Inkin got an infect...

What sucks just as much is that Jon Murray was fighting John Fewkes on the undercard in a superb lightweight clash. I hope they still televise this, although knowing ITV, they'll pull the damn plug.

There's got to be an ex-porn actor they can get at short notice. I bet Ron Jeremy has the date free.

Froch's career does seem to be on a limbo at the moment. Hasn't upped the quality of opponent for years, was looking forward to see him against a guy like Inkin, as it says in the press, it may only be a short delay of a few weeks, which what it should be if it's just a little illness and not a full blown cancellation.

lol, knew Tam would be on this thread prety sharpish.

They want to keep the show alive, so they will try and find any replacement. Froch needs the exposure on mainstream TV.

I hate when fights get scrapped so close to the fight date....because your almost always left with a crappy fill-in or the guy who is ready has to wait....I hope the contract was signed already so he gets punished somehow. Yeah people get sick but, he has 2 weeks to get un-sick....sounds like a flake out but I don't knmow the severity of his infection.

Remember they fight for a living, if they do not fight they do not make a living. It is important they stay injury and illness free but that is not always possible. I'm pissed too but these things happen and will not get sick pay.
