    Hopkins: Calzaghe is panicking!
    Thursday, March 20 2008

Light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins has issued a release saying he has taken the news of Joe Calzaghe's rebuttal to his training team statement as a sure sign of panic. "This poor guy used up all the air in his boxing gym to spew a bunch of nonsense about nothing really. I said what I had to say in one breath. He knows what he is up against on April 19 and that's all that has to be said. All those words are just like his punches - nothing on them and no damage done."

Hop loves to talk trash, and somehow when he does it it's not nearly as annoying as when others do it, but can be rather entertaining sometimes. I still think though hop's going to loose this one and calzaghe will win a decision, as for cals punches not having enough on em, well at least he throws them at all, bhop on the other hand these days...

Calzaghe does not seem worried. He is going through his usual motions.

Hopkins is the one out there hiring "Dream Teams" of trainers and so forth!hehe. Lets hope their specialty is Geriatrics.

Hopkins will have his moments in the fight, but Calzaghe will out work him.

If Bernard goes in there and jumps on Joe before Joe finds his rhythm, he may actually get him out there or damage him somewhat. If he goes out there and starts slow, It will be all Joe.

Calzaghe could give a crap what Hopkins says... Joe has shown a meanstreak and will make Hopkins pay in a dignified manner... Some have more class the others. Hopkins is obviously a classless Jackass

Talking loud.......saying nothing.Sometimes Hopkins astounds me with his God complex and rancore.I dont think for a moment Calzaghe will feint or fret in a fire fight but I am still picking Hopkins to Take a decision at the end of the night.

I know that B.H likes to call attentions in his promotional fights with a several sarcasm words against his opponent , but i been intrigued in how he get through to tell Calzaghe a few of severe words where offended him by a racism sense.......That is not professional and are a things that takeoff credits to him.....

As honest as I can be....

The trash talking is funny and all but it just doesn't stick....

Their is nothing about this fight that drives me to say "Man I can't wait" or even wanna see it....
I have a lot of fight dates memorized and marked aside from just reading it now I wouldn't know what day they are fighting...

I'm just sick and tired of his fighting style.....
Hug, hug, hug, jab miss, hug, punch lightly graze, hug, hug, step back, look lunge with lead right land, hug, hug, hug....

I lost my patience with him sometime around the second JT fight.

I can agree on the loosing patience.Ive literally yelled at the screen on more than one occassion,The 1st Taylor fight (There to be TKO'd Imo) and the Eastman Fight come to mind.Later In Career followups and Hopkins were hardly in the same room and Replaced for more (or less) sharpshooting ...It can be hard to watch and not pleasing to some but I do think the holding just for the sake of holdind gets over stated at times .Opponents also have a say in the inside grappeling,if they choose not to "except" clinches.Taylor stepped it up in the second fight well but also was Holding quite a bit late.I get what you jist is though.Don't worry, one more victory and he'll be retired ??
