Default Well Quintana say "NO" and the promoters say "Yes"...Can you believe in that?....

Dan Goossen the Promotor of Pawl Williams said " We need that Quintana understand that now is a good moment for enter to the scenario again and earn more bigger Purse....
" Quintana commented; That he don't have any problem to fight in 7/Jun/08 with P.Williams again , but what that they are offering him doesn't reach at $350,000 "......
Dan Goossen and Lou DiBella feel very confident that the second fight between them going comes true , but Quintana keep in the way that they have to better the economic offer.....
Although Showtime began the Promotion of the fight for Jun/7/08 in NY , despite of the contract even have signed.......

The point is that Quintana is not soo optimist like his promotor!!!!!!

Why would he go for 350000 when a fight with the winner of either fight this weekend will draw way more money. Even if those two fight eachother, Margarito or Cintron will make him more money than fighting little known, hardly exciting Paul Williams.

Won't the winner of Margarito/Cintron fight Cotto in July?

Carlos won't make $350k fighting the loser of that fight. Don't fighters use "not enough pay" as an excuse to get out of some fights? He probably doesn't want to fight a motivated Paul Williams & lose the belt - not that I blame him.

He's just haggling for a better deal, why would be agree to fight a boxer he's already beaten on the other guys terms? William lost the title, if he wants it back he'll have to make concessions as the challenger.

IMO Williams looked real flat, like he was weight drained, his punches had no pop to them. Maybe the layoff and taking it to lightly bit him in the ass. If he doesn't pull a 180 in the rematch, he's pretty much out of the big picture at welter weight.

Carlos deserves to get his pay because he did win the last match and if PWs is not going to offer it to him then he should go somewhere else. Hopefully CQ will get a good offer and then they can fight

Williams needs Quintana more than Quintana needs him

People need to stop using this lame as excuse that fighters are afraid of other guys... Quintana faced an undefeated Cotto and got his ass kicked, but then put his ass on the line against Diaz, and now Williams... he isn't scared of anyone, but a boxer has a right to be compensated.
