Go to the Google website.

Where it says "search" you can enter:

Dollars to (British) Pounds

Gallons to Liters

Miles to Kilometers

Kilograms to lbs.

etc., and it will compare them for you.

One British Pound is worth $1.97. Most of you might have known you could do this on Google, but I only recently discovered it, so I figured I'd share it.

Oh yes, the pound has never been so strong against the dollar - it used to be around $1.60 to a pound. It's great for us when visiting the States but rubbish for you guys coming here. Just makes our already expensive country even more expensive...

You should check out igoogle too, you can set is as your homepage and customise it to have anything from youtube, dictionary, wikipedia, weather, quotes, news/sports feeds etc...

I've got another trick for Google.. If you look up a website and click on the link, but it is a certain page that normal people don't have access to, so it takes you to a sign in screen,,,, then go back to the google search page,,, and find a small link under the main link that says "cached"... Most of the time, this will give you a picture of the page you were trying to get into, without needing to sign in..

I've used this to get a bunch of secret download links from a website that only certain special members of the site were able to get into... I wasn't even a member,,, let alone a special one.

Some porn sites that don't have super security, you may be able to use this also..

Not exactly the same, but I always use Google as my calculator. Much easier to just enter certain (not that difficult) calculations into the google search field in the toolbar than to open additional programs.

From my reps I see I've helped a few people. Glad to be of assistance to everyone.

There are plenty of easter eggs on there also. A couple of the more well known ones are:

I used it for celsius/centigrade to fahrenheit conversion. I've been lazy to memorize their conversion formula 'coz it involves two or three steps. Good for me, it's instant conversion there at the google.

the best thing about google i think, are the maps..

they're so easy to use, and you can just drag the route it gives you to re-route your directions and stuff..
