I can't help but think Forbes could ruin Mayweather vs De La Hoya 2

Exactly. ODLH had a good fight against the best fighter on the planet last time out. No way he loses to the 100th best fighter.

But isn't that what makes a shock defeat?

What is your point. Of course it'd be a shock but it aint gonna happen. Your the one who thinks it will so please enlighten me on your reasons behind your theory.

Because Steve is slick and unless he get Ko'd he has a good workrate something that fades with Oscar.

I dont think its impossible for him to outwork odlh. I give him a decent change if Oscar has a real off day or gets old. Forbes has never been stopped too so thats on his side.

Despite a lot criticism DLH gets on this forum he is still a cut above the likes of Steve Forbes and he will carry him a few rounds before pounding him by the 6th round! As much as Mayorga made DLH look good, Forbes will make him look like time has stopped and it's 1999 all over again!

Do I WANT a shock win from Forbes? Yes!!! Do I THINK it will be a shock win from Forbes? NO!

I've said that a bunch of times before, but I think it was relative in this thread.

Remember Cotto vs Gomez? Similar to that is what we'll see...

I don't feel a win from Forbes, but it would definitely be a shock if he did win!

Well my feeling with these fights like this, it always feels weird when absolutely no one talks about the challenger. Then it makes you think that the fighter isn't really thinking about the challenger. The challenger takes advantage of the champ overlooking him, has the fight of his life and pulls off a huge upset.

The problem here is that, Oscar De La Hoya knows what is at stake here. He isn't going to slip up like that.

And if he did, that ring I guarantee you will be 16 feet, it'll be about as big as a liter box so no chance for Stevie to outmove him and try to Cory Spinks a win away from De La Hoya.

Just to many odds stacked up against him here.

Don't see Forbes giving ODLH trouble in most areas. If he tries to outwork him he'll just get hit with power shots. Forbes doesn't bring what Sturm did.
