I once saw a video of a man who tried to steal a surveillance camera. But it's not like regular cameras, where the film is inside the camera. No, once a surveillance camera catches you, you're caught, even if you destroy the camera or steal it. Anything it films is sent to a main computer which then can be viewed later (or currently, if there are any guards on duty).
