Re: Booyah! Altitude training!
You got the spirit, now you gotta sweat heavy and work HARD! Your body is going to need more iron to supplement the production of red blood cells. Because the mountain air is cool and dry, you are going to sweat more, even when you don't know it, drink more water and you'll be ok. How are you acclimated, if you feel any mountain sickness or not you oughtta have a high carb diet, and increase the ammount of salts you eat.
First things that you will notice is that you'll be breathing at a faster tempo, your appetite may become smaller. The only downside that I have heard of is that your body will become less tolerant to lactic acids, but the benifets are still greater. Improved health, and the the delivery of oxygen to your muscles will become more efficient. I've heard about Mexican Mountain-Indians can run all day. Perhaps there are herbs and supplements that will help your endurance in a positive way. I've heard that Maka Root is very benificial to endurance, and an alternative to steroids. Work Hard, Train Smart, and become more aware.
