Default I Got 2 out of 3 Wrong Tonight

I thought Paul Williams was done at Welterweight and that Sergio Mora was just a warm body until a legit junior middleweight could be dug up for Forrest to beat on. I was pleasantly surprised by Williams and non-plussed by Forrest. I missed the initial broadcast, but I'm about to watch Forrest and Mora now. My question now is, with such a dominating performance, is Williams THE man at WW considering he's already beaten Margarito and he stomped the guy Cotto took what, 6 or 7 rounds to beat and Mayweather is (really, really) retired. Does Mora stay at JMW even though he only moved down to the division for the name? Is this the start of us taking him seriously and the thickening of the division? I think Williams has a name or two more to establish himself as king and that starts with him beating the winner of Cotto/Margarito. If he takes that name then he can call the division his and move up to 154 or 160 with no questions asked.

Too many questions for one night. What if Cotto rips thru Tony?

Would this mean a Cotto vs Willaims

If Tony whoops Cotto, then we might be seeing PW vs Margarito II

I am glad Floyd is gone. Things are looking fun again.

Floyd had a strangle hold on the Welter Weight Division. In the name of Jesus! Loosen those chains!

And now Satan AKA PBF has been sent to the pits of hell where he belongs

The only thing that i will say is that Williams would want to fight right now with Cotto or Margaro for make a big Purse , he is in rush for then move up , he have problem to make the weight of WW , that why he is calling out for unified title....................

Williams-Cotto would be great, Williams has a very good chin but I'm not sure he could stand up to Cotto. Doubt it. But he can definitely bother Cotto just because of his size and volume. And tonight he sat down on his punches, if he has power then he is going to be tough to beat.

    To Williams:

Please pig out on cheeseburgers and banana splits, so you'll move on to your rightful weight... 154. You're too tall for 147. It was just too painful to watch you take apart a very good fighter in Quintana. But at some point your height and reach advantage are too much to overcome. So... eat up, big guy!

That would be soooo iffy. It would be difficult to imagine Williams with his long target of a body standing up to Cotto's power. But Williams is no slouch and Cotto would have to venture through a long road of pain to get past those long arms. Then again, Williams so willingly gives up his advantages.

I had the same picks. In both cases, the fighters about whom I was wrong magically conjured previously unseen great jabs. Williams did a very good Tommy Hearns impression last night. For a change he didn't give away his height, he threw his jab with authority and he sat down on his right hand. I guess he learned from his mistakes and realized he needs to stop giving away his height. Good for him, taking a loss learning from it, and using it to become a better fighter.

I suspect it would be Quint-williams 1 like only with cotto being far more dominant and brutal about his work that quintana could ever hope to be.

Williams problem with blowing away carlos last night is that the original questions about his performance in the 1st fight are all still there.

As for the guy who suggested PW should move up to 154...

why plenty of massive paydays still remaining at 147 none of which would be available at 154 now forrest has just got beat again.

Sure he probably is a natural light middleweight. But its common sense for him to stay at 147 unless he is considering the possibility of putting on a stone of weight and fighting at middleweight!!

Er... that guy would be me. Actually, I was being facetious. A six-footer like that would present problems for any of the top WW's in the world right now. He's not unbeatable, mind you... but still presents problems. But yeah... his biggest paydays ahead are in the 147 division. 154 is a wasteland.
