Default An excellent way to shut up Carl Froch

If Calzaghe ends up fighting Jones, Pavlik should go to Sheffield and KO Froch in his own backyard. That will shut his big mouth about wanting to fight Calzaghe and be a good tuneup at 168 for Pavlik. He get him some experience fighting in the UK to help him for a future Joe C showdown if it happens in Millenium. I would pay good money to see this.

I know. I respect Tam, but he needs a reality check on Froch.

yeah I'd love to see Pavlik smash Froch up!! prefer to see him fight Abraham though, think it would be a tougher fight for him.

Whilst I think we all know what would happen if Pavlik met Froch, whenever wherever, but as far as I'm concerned it's never going to happen as Pavlik is a huge draw in the US, much like Calzaghe is in Wales, and being the away fighter for the kind of money likely to be on offer for such a fight is something Pavlik's managers are almost impossible to accept.

I would, too, but I don't want to see him fight Abraham in Germany. Sturm, sure, I don't trust those judges and AA has enough skill and chin to go 12 and maybe make it close. For Pavlik to win in Germany, he'll need to win 10 rounds or get the KO. I can see Abraham winning a legit 4 rounds off Pavlik and keeping the others close enough for AA to pull a Sven Ottke. If Abraham will come to the U.S., great, I'd love to see it, but I would hate to see a robbery cost Pavlik and it happens all too frequently over there.

Against Froch, Pavlik won't need judges

It should have been someone like Froch last night to be honest. Someone with a chance maybe.

yeah true! Abrahams fighting in the States next fight though so maybe he'll be happy fighting Pavlik there as well, then again Sturm got a raw deal when he went to the States so that could always be on his mind

That's a very good point. He might find Ryan Rhodes there tho.

To be honest Froch has the power to KO Pavlik. Froch is a big super middle weight and it would be interesting to see how Pavlik deals with his power and how much of an effect Pav's punches have on Froch (who has a very good chin imo).

We need to get some perspective on Pavlik. He isn't super man. He looked good last night against a sitting duck of an opponent who pretty much had no gameplan. He can be hurt. I just hope people don't start with the Pavlik's invincible talk. He's very good at what he does and he's very effective but he's also very beatable.

Well excuse me, thanks for the geography lesson.

Let them fight in Nottingham, London, Cardiff, or Glasgow, the result would be the same. Froch will still get KFTO.

And have perspective on Froch. He's never beaten anybody, he's technically flawed, and that low left invites disaster from Pavlik. Pavlik isn't superman, but he is a technically superior fighter who would throw straight punches right between Froch's wide, looping shots. Pavlik has beaten Edison Miranda and Jermaine Taylor twice. I would favor either of those fighters against Froch. Froch beat a shot Robin Reid. Pavlik is two inches taller with equal reach. There isn't much size difference.

Speaking of the corruption of the krauts. Whats that shit I heard about a manager ringing the bell to end the round early.
