Thread: Murray To Face Meager For British Title

John Murray has informed us that he will be set to fight Lee Meager for the vacant British title, recently relenquished by Jon Thaxton.

Murray, who's undefeated already holds the English crown and has always been overshadowed by Amir Khan's progress in the lightweight division.

Murray has so far had fights both at home and over the pond in the US and Canada. Alot of people regard him as a hot prospect, but he has been overlooked by many with Khan firmly taking the spotlight.

Should Murray win this bout, how far does everyone think he can go? Can he take it up to European level and beyond. Can he follow Amir Khan's shadow and hope to get an all English clash for a lightweight title?

Bout time for Murray to start stepping up the competition and getting in there with fighters with a bit more pedigree. I think he'll beat Meager, but as for following in the footsteps of Khan, not so sure on that one.
