That is very, very coolSo much stuff still undiscovered; waiting to be found. Wish I could take a peek at that ship.
This is cool stuff.
Imagine the stuff paleontologists will find years from now, as the arctic ice melts revealing what died in and underneath it so long, long ago. What is one civilizations tragedy, has surely got to be a few generations of paleontologists treasure?
Pretty mind blowing discovery here.I'm always a little conflicted as far as the sunken ships etc.go.On one hand you have so very much history rediscovered and the ability to answer questions about how history has unfolded in relation....on the other hand,It is literally a gravesite...even centuries old and with little "attachment" by some.I am glad to see that Kennard & Scoville have deemed it such with no intentions of raising it as well as keeping general location unknown...would not be long before some local upstarts attempt there own "exploration",possibly lacking the same appreciation for the historical relevance and looking instead for some monetary gain...maybe I'm just a cynic.
This is straight out of a Clive Cussler book![]()
There was a time I found myself in a lot of airport bookstores
As a prospective archaeologist, I'm really looking forward to working on these sorts of things. Not necessarily ships, but just all sorts of hidden/lost sites and features.
