    Exclamation kahnt anyone see!

Am i the only one who dislikes amir kahns career? y is he fighting michael gomez? gomez showed in his last fight against baz carey that he is past it hes had too many tough fights. This is a fight only the boxing blind fans will get excited for. I myself know that gomez is hand picked does this not annoy anybody else? kahn will do it in 3 or 4. Yes i will watch but its not a mouth watering one. I would also like to hear peoples views on my clubmate lee mcallister the wbu lightwelterweight champ? i feel he is underrated being ranked at 10 in britain but all the other british wbu champs r ranked number 1. Kahn vs mcallister?

The only reason Kahn is still fighting at this level is cuz of teh Limond fight . If he negotiated that sucessfully he would have moved on by now but that performance says he isnt the superstar people made him out to be and he needs to continue to learn the game at Gomez type level

Kahn is a money maker, Warren will stick him in the ring with as many dumplings as he can. I think Frank is having trouble finding feather fisted guys, now he is resorting to guys that are fucked after walking to the ring.

    I can see it!!!
I am not a fan but i cannot dismiss his obvious talent he needs to park his mouth and do his talking in the ring against fighters with more then just a pulse

I've met Amir on a number of occassions, each time less pleasurable than the time preeceding it.

    exactly

warren is doing the same thing with amir that he did with JC, Hatton etc.

He is milking him for all he is worth by sticking him in with "safe" opponents who amir can look good against.

The TV contract with ITV is set in stone, whether he fights michael gomez or michael bolton he is still on for the same payday.

Warren is renound for molly coddling his fighters, he claimed that khan would be a world champion before the end of the year but is now merely waiting for a vacant title to come along that doesnt involve amir having to get his arse handed to him by casa or nate.

He came across as arrogant and rude.

He has bought into his own hype and truely believes that he's some sort of champion.

I'm not a big Khan fan, I like his offense, but his defence is sh1te and he will get Koed when he fights a big puncher but........... and I have said this before. The only reason he is getting criticism for his opponents is because his fights are on TV (I suppose we derserve to see better but that's not the issue) If he was making his way up as a 21 year old on undercards and not televised nobody would criticise the speed of his progress. Look at how many fights Barera ot JCC had before they fought anybody remotely decent - worked o.k for them!

    I agree in part H.

Its the fact that they are dressing them up as meaningfull fights that bothers me. I suppose they've got to to get Joe Bloggs interested.

Some people will genuinely believe that he's operating at the highest level. The commentary is squirmish having to listen to them tow the line. Cant wait to hear how they big up Gomez
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

I know what you mean. He does seem to be genuinely after a world title fight this year though, and Warren's contract with himk (I'm not positive on this) isn't far from the end. WHile I'm sure if Warren had his way it's be another 20 fights like Hatton before a shot, Khan himself may push it through, which is commendable but I reckon most fans agree with me that he isn't ready and hasn't faced anything that will remotely prepare him for Campbell, Casa, Pac or the Diazs.

Im certain Warren has another deal in place already. He's come out and said we'll get this fight out of the way and then see what happens. Which for me means a deals done, Im just keeping quiet about it.

He'll get his world title. Im sure Earl coming unstuck against Katsidis and then Rees losing out to Kotelnik pissed on Franks fire but he'll find another soft touch to deliver what Amir wants.

I hope he doesnt mind and Khan has to fight someone legit.

That is soooooo true it bothers me too how they 'big up' these guys he is fighting.

The best opponent Kahn has had was that French fella, he was game to trade the whole fight and had balls, a good learning fight for Kahn. But then Frank Warren thought "no ones gonna watch these fights that go the distance, I need some Mannequin's for him to beat the shit out of"
