    Emmanual Augustus deserves a mention. Floyd might not have been in peak condition or may have taken it lightly, but he gave FLoyd one hell of a fight.

    I believe Floyd said Augustus was his toughest fight. Was a great little fight; Floyd getting his nose bloodied up is a rarity.

    I think Floyds nose was actually broken in the Augustus fight, I think thats one of Floyds most entertaining fights to watch. His cominations were awesome.

    Ricky Hatton & Jose Luis Castillo;
    each presented a huge physical challenge, but Mayweather got in excellent shape to deal with it. You could see the effort Mayweather had holding off each fighter in close quarters and you had to respect Mayweathers underrated physicality in each fight.

    Jesus Chavez and Emmanuel Augustus & Oscar De La Hoya;
    Presented very gutsy displays where floyd had to unload a lot more than usual.
    In these fights we saw Oscar adjust to unexpected circumstances.

    Jose Luis Castillo gave him the toughest fight, in their first encounter. Then Oscar De La Hoya, then Zab Judah. Or Jose Luis Castillo in the rematch.

    Ricky Hatton made Floyd work harder than usual, but Floyd did the great majority of the clean landing and it wasn't nearly as close as people like Harold Lederman had it, IMO. Emmanuel Burton/Augustus made Floyd work harder and bloodied his nose, but also got the stuffing beat out of him.

    If I remember correctly, it was not ruled a KO, was it? It looked like a clean punch to me.

    those are the top of th list for me.

    corrales got destroyed by floyd

    Lost every round, got knocked down about 5 times. Probably one of mayweathers most convincing wins ever.

    Judah troubled him early on with his speed but was never going to get close on the scorecards and actually accepted at one point in the fight that it was merely a case of him lasting the 12.

    Mosley/Cotto would give mayweather nightmares. Hatton with a half decent ref and ring that isnt big enough for floyd to run around for 12rounds would also give PBF the fight of his life.
