Default ~ Boxing Notes On Several Fighters ~

Was reading some boxing notes online and came across several interesting things. So I made this thread to type them up and see if anyone has any comments about some of the things.

    - Apparently Sam Peter is waiting for Vitaly to make fight. The fucken WBC has lost it's fucken mind. I thought this shit was over and Vitaly was like a Ukrainian Gov. or something.

    - David Haye has yet to confirm an opponent for his fight at HW. Heres some names for him: Taras Bidenko, Timor Ibragimov, Oleg Maskaev, Guillermo Jones and Andrew Golota.

    - Apparently the Bute-Andrade fight is a done deal. It will take place at Belle Centre the date is not set yet but looks to be in Sept.

    - Mundine is planning on moving down to Middleweight and fighting Shannon Taylor.

    - There's talks about a fight for Lacy vs. Epifiano Mendoza but they need to find a site.

    - There's a possibility that we might see Jermain Taylor vs. Carl Froch fight for one of the belts that Joe will vacate at SMW.

    - Talks of a unification fight between Caballero vs. Molitor have started. Let's hope both sides can agree on the terms.

    - It had been announced that Sturm would fight Sebastian Sylvester IF Sebastian made it past Castillejo. Well Sebastian did but now Sturm will rematch Griffin instead. I guess the fucken brutal TKO, Sebastian laid that day was enough for Team Sturm to move on.

    - Main Events has dropped Kermit Cintron from their stable. Damn! when you hit the floor you hit it hard. It's gonna take a lot from Kermit to get back up.

    - Campbell vs. Guzman is being negotiated. Both sides are talking now and it looks like Sept.

(Sept. looking like a stacked month)

    - Did you know "Kid Diamond" Raymkulov fought on Friday? He won via TKO in a tune fight. Looks like he might fight Anthony Peterson if all goes well.

    - Linares is injury prone. I did not know this either I missed the threads or I'm blind. 1st it was an ankle injury now he's injured from his shoulder. Come on Jorge... No wonder he hasn't fought since Dec.

And lastly I just wanted to say that it's bullshit! that Margarito has to vacate his title for the fight vs. Cotto.
Which is why I say fuck these Organizations.
Also it clearly shows that Zab is the IBFs B-I-T-C-H!!! (this should show)

They 1st handed him the belt after Baldomir whopped his ass, now suddenly he's challenging for it. Get the fuck out of here...

For some reason i can't copy and paste what you typed but i'll try and reply to them all.

1 Vitali needs to stay retired he has wasted our time and more importantly wasted time with the boxers who trained there ass, if Vitali did win a belt how would we get a unfication with both brothers as champions ?? that would make the Heavyweight even more of a mess than it is now. Vitali needs to stay retired it would be better for him and his brother and the Heavyweight division.

2 I mentioned i wouldn't mind seeing Golota vs Haye, Golota is highly ranked and its very winnable fight for Haye, plus Golota does have a big name in the Heavyweight division, i wouldn't mind see Haye vs Maskaev either infact any of these 2 fights would be fine for Haye.

3 Bute vs Andrade is a very interesting fight for me and this fight will tell us how good Bute really is, like i have said in the past i think Bute is the dark horse of the SMW divison, he does have good skills and has the ability to out box Andrade but we will see, im picking Bute by 12 UD. But it wouldn't surprise me if Andrade KO'ed Bute.

4 Mundine moving down the Middleweight what the hell ?? you know i think Mundine is a very skilled fighter but he is wasting his career but what can you do ?? i think he would do very well against some of the big names at Super Middleweight.

5 Don't really know much about Mendoza so i can't comment, but Lacy is finished as a fighter but to be honest i didn't think he was half the fighter he was made out to be even before the Calzaghe fight, when he was struggling with the likes of Vanderpool, Sheika, Lacy is a nice guy and has a big heart so you have to respect him, but i have no really interest in Lacy anymore, because like i said IMO he is a shot fighter.

The word after IBFs is "bitch"

    Zabs the IBFs bitch...

For some reason it's leaving the "bitch" part out.

Yes Mundine want's to move to midleweight, he would be very hard to deal with at that weight. HOWEVER i hear today he's trying to get Danny Green out of retirement for a big fight here in Aus - Fuck me dead as Green is apparently considering it.......................

Don't know what happened there it just posted without me finishing ?? so i'll have to continue here.

6 Bit of a random match up but a good fight for Froch and this will tell us where he belongs at SMW, IMO i think Taylor is too good for Froch and stops him not sure when i'll have to think about it.

7 Good fight lets hope it happens Molitor is a very skilled fighter and possibly one of the most underrated skill wise, im also impressed with his patience, its shame he didn't get to Daniel Ponce De Leon first i think he would of boxed his ears off.

8 Campbell has always been an hot and cold fighter, he is a good fighter but i think people are slightly overrating him after his win over Diaz, i just think that was very good style match up for Campbell. Guzman reminds me of Mayweather, Guzman is very skilled and i feel he is faster and he has the better boxing skills, plus he is also fresher IMO. Can Campbell produce another good performance like the one with Diaz at his age ?? we will have to wait and see, but i think Guzman wins 12 UD.

Don't worry... I predict Clottey will beat Zab on August 2 for that IBF belt.

They should put it on the undercard of Nelson-Fenech.

I would love to see Haye-Guillermo Jones. I might think about picking Jones in that one. It's to bad he never did a single thing after that great win over Braithwaite. Terrible stoppage in that one but a great fight.

Does anyone want to see Timor Ibragimov ever again? Even if he's getting KO'd? He would probably manage to make that boring too and just take a knee to quit or something. Boooooooo. Golota wouldn't be bad.

Bute - Andrade is a very good fight. A very good fight. Worthy of it's own thread in fact, I have no idea how that turns out but to me both are fascinating fighters.

Good to see Mundine has his priorities in order and he's chasing the big names. Hey you think he can possibly land a fight on HDnet That would be huge

Lacy needs to be in the ring period. I really want to see his next fight, could be make or break.

I hope Taylor - Froch comes off. That one is kind of from left field but if it does happen, Taylor would absolutely destroy Froch. Really this one isn't close, I hope it comes off.

Felix Sturm is so weak. I mean come on, there finally is a German fighter that I really like in Sylvester and Sturm won't fight him? What's the problem? Who is Griffin? I had no idea he drew with Sturm. What was this fight like?

Already given my thoughts on Campbell - Guzman, Guzman wins that one going away unless he just doesn't have it. Guzman is a very good fighter ready to put the world on notice, he would do it in a big way by beating Campbell. Would force the JMM/Casa winner or Pac to fight him.

It's about time a Peterson stepped up big. Depending on if you view Kid Diamond as big or not, it is a step up. I think Peterson wins it I'm fairly confident in that actually. The Petersons are the future of boxing.

I would say the IBF is Zab's bitch.

    * Well Vitaly needs to step the hell out of boxing. He is not needed anymore and all he is doing with the whole contemplating a comeback fiasco is adding more confusion to an all ready messed up division.

    * i think Haye should fight anyone who is rated from 10 to 20 in the division unless he is planning to lose his first fight. he needs to see how it feels before fighting a top heavy. well maye he should fight Ruiz as i always enjoy seeing the possibility of Ruiz getting KTFO.

    * The unification between Caballero and Molitor should be fun to watch.. Hopefully it happens.

    * Kermit must be hating his life right now. i think he will be alright though if he keeps knocking out C class fighters as KO's are exciting and Cintron has power. he will bounce back from whatever but i still think he never manages to be at the top.

Zab and the IBF go way back. Remember back when Zab was a junior Welterweight? The IBF stripped an injured Terron Millett of his title. The IBF set up Judah-Jan Bergman for the belt.

I'm not a fan of Cintron, but I think that it kind of sucks when they dumped him, because they dumped him about 2 weeks after his loss to Margarito.

Nothing like kicking a man when he's down.
