No. It's there.
Baron DavisToday was a genuinely sad day for me. Baron Davis really punched me in my mouth. Took probably my favorite Bay Area athlete out of the Bay Area. Oh well, I wish him all the luck as a Clipper. Today was a day of mourning.
I also hate Matusow and Negreano, especially Negreanu. I want to see them fight one day I'm talking about poker now.
Gotcha
Funny when a sporting hero comes to and end/retires or leaves, it affects so many of us on a personal level.
I stopped watching soccer after Cantona retired.

It just makes me sad I really thought we were going to have Baron for at least another year and I was so looking forward to that. Damn it, not to mention the Clippers also got Eric Gordon who I admit was my favorite player in the draft. Even more then Rose possibly.
And now they have Eric Gordon who is essentially a young Baron Davis in LA with the man Baron Davis. It really depresses me. As much as sports can this was a complete low blow with the Giants trying to make their move, the 49ers make or break at the quarterback position, I didn't need my fucking point guard leaving. Andre Ward better do big things![]()
The draft has always confused me.
Our national sports are decided by region of origin only.
That means there are some very weak teams, but at least there is no poaching or politics.

I can't find it in me though to hate the Clippers. They are always just second best, very nonthreatning and always a sad display of talent as the shit in that organization drips from the top on down. It's just a terrible, terrible franchise but it's hard to root against them.
It's just terrible though seeing Baron Davis interviewed. I'm still going to root for him and I would be happy if the Clippers won and not the Lakers. Besides, we knocked the Clippers out of the playoffs on the final day of the season when we went a year ago. That was great. That sent them in a spiral, I imagine we'll replace our point guard soon enough. We tried to get Gilbert Arenas back![]()
Ha, that would be crazy. That would really make the Warriors the best of all timeAnd I imagine the Knicks might be good again

But no, our leagues the NBA, MLB and NFL they each have like teams in 30 cities and football drafts anyone they want from College, NBA drafts college athletes and international players and baseball drafts from junior high school it seems now.
Though the MLS is divided in regions but that is just because the teams are actually just neighborhood Sunday day league teams.
Um, well when a team cheers for a city. They don't care where those players are from. Yeah that really doesn't mean anything at all to us. White players are a plus in terms of marketing but yeah it doesn't matter where the players themselves are or there is no way Boston wins anything in this country. But you cheer for that city that's on their jersey.
That's just the American way, it's not really a corruption of sport if it was any other way, us capitalist sports fans would have all our fun taken away. It's exciting when your team signs a multi million contract with a Japanese player and then watch how it unfolds. Except when you pay this Japanese pitcher $126 million dollars and his name is Barry Zito and he's not Japanese at all.
I've heard a lot about this 6+5 rule Fifa installed. Yeah, that would never in a million years happen in the NBA, MLB or NFL no way.
Similarly to Premiership soccer in the UK i suppose.
But as you alluded to the best teams will stay at the top becuse of how attractive they are to the top players.
As I mentioned here, you play for your local club, if your good, you go on to represent the county.
You play in your locality, for your town/village or county.
This the saying;
Ask not what your County can do for you;
Ask what you can do for your county.

Yes that's why American sports fan can get behind teams like Man U and Chelsea because as I find by studying Lyle, they try to compare these teams to the Red Sox and Yankees baseball team. Lyle loves the Red Sox probably because Reggie Jackson is a crazy left wing terrorist. That's my guess.
But yeah I thought so the Premeirship had free agency.
Excellent LoL
The Premiership is Shady.
In the past few years so many "bungs" and bribes have emerged it's difficult to reallyt call it a free agency.
Couple that with the fact that the larger clubs have the most money and therefore the best players and its not really fair at all.
When one takes it in persopective its just a testament to the smaller clubs for hanging with em.

Doesthe Premeirship have a salary cap? Every major sporting league in the US does with the exception of baseball. Baseball does do some revenue sharing though so the rich help the poor. A few years ago, a shitty little team in Florida called the Marlins beat the Yankees who spend more money then anyone. Because of revenue sharing, the Yankees basically bought the Marlins a world series. Think of it as sports welfare. Dark Lord Al knows all about it he loves it, think it's great that the little guys get a break from the government
But anyways, it works in baseball not just because of that revenue sharing but because each club has several farm league teams who compete and they can call up players from anytime and have exclusive rights to. So the real good teams will not spend half as much money as the big Yankees and Red Sox in Free Agency but instead they can build players in their farm league, sign them for pennies on the dollar of what the huge names get and win with them. That's how baseball makes the free agency work so that this biggest spenders don't always win. I don't know if they have that safeguard in Premiership.
Nope with every big signing it seems to grow and grow, players are on massive salaries now, largely due to huge businessmen investing in the market.
Man, baseball!
I can understand any of the American games but that....I actually like watching it, but not a clue what in the hell is going on!
