Thread: Can somebody explain this whole VD Squad - Clan Baggins thing?

I've been away for a few weeks, I come back, and the board has decided to clique up. What the hell happened? I'm sure it's all in good fun, but I feel like I missed out on some good drama. Anybody care to give me a breakdown?

Bilbo got a hair up his a## as usual and decided to start up a clan so they could take over Saddo's or some sh#t. Bilbo says it's all about singing, joking, companionship and circle jerk parties, but he really just wanted a constant, reliable source of rep from people who liked him.

So VD started up an Anti-Baggins clan; then Dark Lord Al started up another one, now Danny has an Anti Dildo Faggins group{which I think has 2 members, though many supporters}.

The Old Guard was set up to counter all of them and be somewhat normaland dedicated to maturity

That's my take on the whole silly business of it.

In short answer - a lot of "Male" bonding has been going on.... But not in a "Gay" sort of way mind you..

I love how you say you don't draw attention to yourselves yet in every post about clans you will pop up and tell us how you are not a clique, clan or hierarchy.

Come on admit it JT, just like a closet Big Brother fan you want so much to be involved in the center of the clan community yet for appearances sake want feel you have to tell us why you're seperate from us and better.

Thanks everybody for filling me in.

Bilbo, we are all internet nerdsters to some degree. I think we all know that, even JT. Some less, some more. I have nothing against you as a poster or a person. I've probably had more heated words with JT than with any other poster on the board. I like having 'Old Guard' on my profile because it reflects the way I see myself as a poster. For better or for worse, things are different around here than when I first joined up, and I'm happy to help carry the old school torch.

Nothing at all wrong with Old Guard. I just wish JT could admit that it is a clan like any other.

It's values may be different to Baggins Clan (although again this is only because other people like to project what they think the values of Baggins Clan are) but they are still a clan like Baggins, Violent Squad, Darkside Alliance etc.

The only one that could conceivably not be called a Clan is Dildo Faggins, as that I guess is more a Bilbo tribute/fan club type thing.

Wow I didn't realise an anti Bilbo group had been created. That's quite flattering, you've not truly arrived until you have a cult following of jealous haters


As far as the Baggins Clan being a clan devoted to rep to be honest it isn't really. The Clan rarely reps each other any more, our membership is more around friendship and loyalty, all the silliness is actually just a piss take out of the rest of idiots who thought our joke idea was cool and wanted their own clan.

I rarely post on the boards these days being preoccupied with other things but the Baggins Clan members remain my most esteemed friends on the forum and a group of loyal people I am happy to call my virtual friends.

The Baggins Clan is the original (and best) of em' all.
